Some key takeaways and experiences I’ve had after logging in over 300 hours of Final Fantasy 14, regarding titles (in-game achievements), party combat, the party gameplay experience, and how 14’s multi-player co-op mechanics can/may potentially affect the direction of future Final Fantasy games.

if you truly think people play the game single mindedly, not paying attention to the others, I pity the parties you've been in. Because if you play like that, good luck getting through some of the instances.
When you get to a certain level of experience and skill, maxing out all the roles and jobs is pretty much expected. For example, consider the typical composition of a static that is aiming to clear the hardest content (currently The Epic of Alexander (ultimate)). If you take a look at the groups that have cleared the fight, I think you will find virtually all of them have extensive experience with all of the roles in the game. Maybe not necessarily in high-end content, but certainly to the extent of leveling them all.
