thank you for this. that was really helpful. even just being able to watch the fight without being in there. but your annotations were great. yesterday i felt utterly overwhelmed. i'll try again later and i'm confident i'll do better this time. again, thank you!
Thanks for the video. I notice that your tank died a couple of times throughout the video on Hansel and Gretel. Is there something that the tank needed to do to make sure they didn't die, like facing the bosses towar5ds each other at any point or? Our alliance raid had the same issue.

Lore dump here for anyone who wants it! Spoilers below for the DrakeNier-verse
Most people who have only played Nier also don't know what's going on. This fight is a reference to the final events in Drakengard 1 (and the previous fight was a reference to the final events in Drakengard 3). The events in Drakengard are what led into the events in Nier due to the main antagonists in Drakengard, the Watchers and the Gods, being trans dimensional beings hell bent on wiping out sentient life in the multiverse. They cross into as many worlds as they can, infecting them and linking them to the same spot. That city. Where the Mercurius gate lies.
The Queen Beasts/Grotesques (the kind of watcher/weapon the False Idol is) use their powers of song to kill all those who hear it. The bells you hear are its abstract voice, screaming or singing its song of the end.
There are a lot of unanswered questions about the Watchers and how they function. However this raid confirmed that the Seeds of Resurrection/Destruction are gateways to other worlds through which the watchers can come.
28:00 – Sorry, but there was just something extremely hilarious about seeing the bodies just flying off the stage in the back. 30:58 – Let me also just say MVP to that one surviving Summoner for ressing one of their Healers to allow them to LB3. Thus allowing them to ress whoever they could save that was still there.
24:48 Why did you die there? you seemed to be very safely on the left-hand side. Or was that bad lag since you were on the right-hand side just before?
Thank you for not waiting until you had a perfect run to annotate. I not only went in blind, but also forgot to turn off "party in progress" so my first run was only the last two fights. I didn't get any benefit of learning some of the mechanics in the early fights! Second run did better but made a lot of the same mistakes you did. This was my absolute first time doing an alliance raid day one, and I loved learning with everyone else, messing up with everyone else, and (in my two runs at least) everyone was super chill and not getting mad at those who were figuring things out. Thank you for this video!!
Thank you for you this!!! I went in blind to it already and died like 457276294 times so hopefully next time i can cut that down to dying only 1561565 times.
You saved my life. Thank you! It was extreme as hell, but the clear was perfect.

Took me awhile to realize what the False Idol was meant to be. It's basically Kaine, Zero and the Flower.

I hope we get ex raids fr

Thank you! I was having a hard time with the Hansel & Gretel fight; it never occurred to me to look at their halberds for tells.
I watched dozens die to Child's Play lmao. (Including myself)
not gonna lie the 3rd boss gave me hell, but was the most enjoyable boss in the entire raid
How could anyone need a guide for this raid…
I can't believe they even brought in the hacking. Wow. Thx for the vid đ
Great guide

Rezzing your entire party as rdm and then having them prioritize rezzing another dps instead of you. Ahhh the feels

I had trouble with False Idle boss. I would have never thought to look down on the floor to see the building underneath lmao /poorme.
28:02 LOL it's raining bodies at the back
Must be just me that dislikes this raid. Something about it doesnât feel enjoyable more of a chore.
