3. This game was my first priority to make sure it works on the Steam Deck. At first I had mine dual booted to play windows, but then when my Deck had that issue where suddenly my Steam OS vanished, I just went full Steam OS and now use the XIV Launcher

7. Why use a third-party launcher? I was under the impression that XIV worked by default through Steam. Am I mistaken, and is that launcher not against TOS?

8. Oh! i play this on my deck, plays great except for raids lol but other than that it is great. Steam Custome wheel is even better for MMO's on steam deck

9. i got a tablet with internet that acts as a hotspot and take it with my steam deck and play my mmos during lunch at work. steam deck is goated as fuck

10. Tested it on SteamOS, after playing end game dungeons alone (with npc from trust system) the fps were around 40 on medium and the fans were going crazy, so I uninstalled. Later on I learnt how to dual boot and installed windows 10, so I tried XIV again. The game worked much better there and now Im pretty much at 60 fps at all times no matter if its dungeon, or city.

    Not sure if youre aware of it, but for cpu usage in the cities, you should go to character options and change the maximum rendered characters from "maximum" to something lower. XIV is unable to use all of cpu threads, so the rendered players in cities are huge toll on it
