Game is cool, but I play on Xbox, and this game gets expensive fast
My only and biggest disappointment about Dawntrail (besides the job changes or lack there of) was the MSQ. Pacing, writing it all felt off and it was the first time ever I got bored or mad during MSQ (not even ARR made me feel like that) especially the 2nd half of MSQ, I hate solution 9 and it's people and everything that takes place there.
Ff14 mostly definitely can be the best mmo of all time. But it can't achieve that if you become too positive to a point. It hurt the game down the line. And not pointing out the flaws

Legitimately the most boring gameplay in any video game I've ever played.
I logged into Sol 9 before the patch and it was like….. dead. Went there on the weekend of the patch. only a few extra there for a .x patch is an oof
My issue with FFXIV and why I quit. It's not an MMO. It's a empty hallway that filters everyone into instances. Then it becomes a 5-10 player co-op. I will quit any game that does this and claims to be a MMO.

I quit the game at the tail end of Endwalker, the game has just gotten stale and there is a lack of innovation, they just keep it safe and copy and paste content with a different story. I had enough of the jobs as there is no individuality some feel samey and the no talent trees or specs kills player expression, you have 1 rotation and if you deviate in any way it's a gray parse.
As an OG veteran that quit mid Endwalker, it's really disappointing to see the Dawntrail is more of the same. The developers need to start taking risks and innovating or the game is going to die, straight up. I said this 5 years ago and everyone scoffed at me, I guess I just started to take notice before others.
Dawntrail really did a number on me. I rushed and did everything on release and that month was good. But the story really had me feeling off. I wasn’t around when Stormblood came out and joined FFXIV during Shadowbringers so I don’t know how bad the Main MSQ to Post MSQ went and can only hear from others. But…
With CoD BO6 out and being good for now, and Monster Hunter in February… I don’t know if I’ll come back for a minute. The story really didn’t sit well with me after sitting on it for so long.
It’s gonna take one or two more good story patches to get me very interested to come back. I’m a story player so my view is different.
I just really hope Ishikawa comes back to lead the story direction. Like she did for Shadowbringers.
