I don't know if it was a dynamic resolution but or what, but during the MSQ cutscenes all the models sometimes turned into pixelated garbage. I can't remember experiencing any major performance drops in them before and I didn't even enable dynamic resolution but I've never had it before the option was added. So if that bug fix was related to that then great, I never want to watch cutscenes like that again…

my week 1 attempt group spent 7 hours wiping on p8s phase1 due to the tight DPS check, barely not making it (e.g. we just needed another few GCDs/seconds). This resulted in us only seeing phase2 twice in those 7 hours. And NO we did not do split runs, and we also had a PLD and RDM, so that didn't help.
This tier specifically has exposed the poor balancing that was seen pre-asphodelos and opened the floodgates of locking out jobs if they do not synergize or don't provide the highest possible damage. Mix that with encounter designs that are extremely melee-friendly, there's no reason to bring anything other than a comp of gnb,drk,ast,sch, 2 Melee, brd/dnc, and blm and its sad to see

I don't know if this is a legitimate complaint or not but can they please change the fact that using sprint gets rid of dual cast on Rdm. There have been times where I have popped Sprint to get to a safe spot quicker before my gcd would be back up and POOF! goes my dualcast. lol

The problem wasnt the bosses HPs it was the underperforming jobs. This is EXACTLY what the community did not want.
That 1% extra hp didnt balance out with the extra time we had before savage release and extra tome to get a weapon during prog?
Yeah Midas was the last time a Tier got nerfed while it was current content. A6S, Alexander – The Cuff of the Son (Savage), got nerfed in patch 3.26 because it was proving to be harder than A7S so they nerfed it to make the progression of difficulty correct.

The thing about the change to the HP/DPS Check of P8S, I personally think it was necessary. If a fight is so difficult to clear due to its insanely tense DPS check, that means any savage raid groups who AREN'T Hardcore, and casually try to clear them (like my own), it would make it almost impossible until better gear comes out which may make it doable.
This shouldn't be the case. It should definitely be super hard, as it has always been, but P8S had a huge DPS check especially when compared to P5S/P6S and even somewhat P7S. Even though you will be getting 630 gear as you progress through the fights, it, as shown, is still a very very tight DPS check. If only the very top percentage of high end players are able to pass the checks and clear the fight due to being an absolutely perfect raid group, it removes any hope of other savages raiders who AREN'T high end hardcore raiders, from ever clearing the fight until better gear comes out or echo is added in a later patch which may give that needed boost.
My static was terrified that we would not be able to remotely clear it when we saw the DPS check and heard about all the Savage groups spending massive amounts of hours each day and failing even phase 1 over and over and over and over again ALL because of that DPS check, not even mechanics. Maybe now we may be able to clear it once we get there.
I can definitely understand the ripple this is having in the hardcore raiding community, but there is also the people below them that need to be considered. High End content should not be tailored only to that top percentile, but to all who clear current Savage content. You should not have to calculate the mass of the sun and find the meaning to life, in order to clear the last tier of a Savage raid. But it shouldn't be easy or a cakewalk either. And the fights should be challenging, not be painful and just flat out frustrating, so much so that you don't even want to do it anymore.
As someone who nearly quit the tier just trying to deal with trap pf's and the high damage (bleed and raidwide respectively) this tier, cmon man. Being in a static that can consistently clear within a couple days without issue colors your perspective thoroughly. Underperforming jobs should be able to clear with good play too. This just feels gatekeepy. Also isn't the health change a percentage point? That's not minor, but its not like it was gutted either

Hey, just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS (P8S was harder in August) on the ABYSSOS: THE EIGTH CIRCLE (SAVAGE) (it's the easy one) CLEAR. I know you've been working really hard (it was harder in August) at it, and I'm happy that you've (P8S was harder in August) achieved your goal.
This is off-topic, but I'm still floored that the game has a dedicated team that tests the content, so that new content is actually a surprise rather then everything being leaked by public beta.

They should of left it as is, and forced the Raiding community to just get better in the long run, and weed out those that arn't all that great for Endgame. This idea that Endgame should be catered to everyone, so they feel safe in their bubble is ridiculous. How else are people suppose to get better if they're not pushed to their absolute limits? Idk, after the laugh wore off I found this very insulting to the Raiding community as a whole. Plus on top of all that, there are jobs that are literally struggling with-in their role category. So instead of focusing on that, they instead reduce the Bosses HP, like what? It's nice to see the buffs to WAR & PLD, but there's also MCH just sitting around waiting for their well-deserved buff. Anyways, Idc to raid anymore(I quit in 6.1 when I got my Tier Clear because it's not fun anymore for me, I wanna enjoy other aspects of the game with my FC members. Just wanted to put the nail in that coffin before any would be trolls come to play) but this does still hurt to see.
While the Devs want to give players a challenge, they also have the responsibility of retaining players. Not all of us WoL can dedicate to a Static and must rely on PF. Making the DPS check more difficult than it needs to be is enough reason for a player to just give up and stop playing. They do not want to lose players.

The problem with your perspective Mr. Happy is that you are only familiar with the top 1% of raiders who are clearing within the first week. Job balance according to Xeno is awful this tier, hopefully these buffs help, but he was looking at the numbers from early parses and found that the difference in job comp even among top players meant that you were at a massive disadvantage, or it may even be impossible to clear p8s. Not whacky comps, normal comps, like people who want to play PLD or WAR or MCH.
No endgame difficulty should be based on a static team of players who have been playing together for years. Savage should not be aimed solely on statics.
The best players should be able to clear it with the minimum ilvl, with plenty of time for mistakes left, so pickups and raidfinders can beat it after getting better gear.
I normally clear a savage tier week one via pf. This was the first tier that, after the BS that was p7s I decided not to worry about it since I knew my own personal ability.
It's nice to see this adjustment since I wasn't going to bother pfing this fight until next week so people shouldn't have an excuse to not having gear.
people like zheph have been preaching some of these issues since shb and now they have compounded ontop of each other so much that they are no longer small issues, but nearly gamebreaking for some

Funnelling gear is a niche thing and they can absolutely measure things based on their ilevel.
Would have liked to see a buff to feller cleave but this is a start.
A large part of their game's marketing is that every job is viable at every level of content, and so forcing meta comps for a tier is a glaring issue when it comes to that. Jobs like MCH have been straight up blocked from PFs due to the p8s check.
