My first look and reaction to the Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Trailer after just completing the Stormblood MSQ !

Coming from World of Warcraft I bought a jump potion and MSQ boost to get straight to Shadowbringers and even then, skipped ALL the cut scenes so I could get to raiding.

I was convinced to go back and embrace the story and it’s been a RIDE. I stream over on Twitch through my current playthrough and will be uploading my adventures here!

Also just a fun fact: the first class that the WoL is depicted as being after the Ghymlit Dark scene is Archer, and is the class he had in the opening cinematic to FFXIV 1.0, before they changed him to be a Warrior in A Realm Reborn. (He's specifically an Archer and not a Bard because 1.0 originally didn't have Jobs, just the base classes.)

    And there's various clips from 1.0's cinematic trailer interspersed into the flashbacks from the other expansions at the beginning as well.

  5. Hope you're enjoying the story! I've enjoyed FFXIV for a long time, but Shadowbringers felt like the payoff of plot threads, some of which had their roots in 1.0.
    Then the patches since then have kept going strong.
