  1. I honestly hope and pray Dan does the Great Serpent of Ronka quests for the playthrough at some point. They are a complete delight and everyone needs to see them. :>

  2. So in contrast to Il Meg we actually have all we really need to talk about Rak'tika as a parallel of the Black Shroud now. In large part that's because of how bor… under developed Gridania is in the MSQ, and also because there's something else going on in the latter half of this zone that is more interesting. Basically two heavily wooded areas where religious folk try to make peace with nature. The nights blessed are a nice contrast to the seedseers, as there are no class divides based on the will of nature. The folk here take shelter in the natural environment, but it actively wants to kill them, while the elementals want Gridania to survive(when they obey but that's another issue). The most interesting comparison for me though is the fact that the gridanians are focused on the tangible give and take of their religion, while the nights blessed are more concerned with the spiritual back and forth, acknowledging that their religion doesn't really offer much practical return, but does bring them peace.

  3. An interesting thing to note here is this confirms that the scene with Uri and Y'shotla in the ShB Cinematic Trailer happened in the past when the Fort was attacked. When you compare the architecture its pretty one to one. Also yes La Hee is here, it is a meme because of course it is. It is in fact so memed that it is banned from appearing on FFXIV news broadcasts because the chat devolves into just shouting LaHee and devs prefer chat to not do that.

  4. I am absolutely here for the Sassian. I also wish there was an even more sassy response for "Master Matoya" because dang boo I thought we were close. (I also get why it happened but I feel like it's a bit out of character? Like I'm assuming Mini-Minfillia would also have a similar abundance of light ether, and she hadn't even met Y'shtola yet she was recognised. But we've been buddies and with Y'shtola for ages and she couldn't recognise us? Either I definitely don't understand how built different the WOL's ether is [I know it's packing since it explains our teleports], or maybe it's world building and the Lightwardens are doing something to us).
Also, apparently this forrest song is a meme?

  5. 31:42 Personally I found the "kupo" option way too funny to pass up. For anyone curious, after choosing that option, the Night's Blessed looks around confused, and Thancred replies "That will seem a lot less amusing when we are forced to kill them".
