Another year another bikini!
This year we see the return of the jumping puzzle and another episode in the Misadventure of R’fhul Tia. If you ask me it’s more a story of how his sister, R’majha is growing up faster than him.
The jumping course was last seen in 2019 and I guess it’s absence is explained by the Monster attacks we’ve had for the last two years. The course is expanded with optional legs for those looking for a more explosive experience. I’m not really into jumping puzzles for jumping sake, especially not in games not really designed with a good platforming engine. There are plenty of guides out there to help with that and I provide links to two in the video.
Now I’m not saying they only give us bikinis. In fact many players of male characters feel there are not enough. I’m saying they have not actually ventured into the world of women’s one piece swimsuits. I know the two swimsuits you are thinking of, and yes those can pass for one piece suits in many situations, and they are very nice. However those are not technically, nor even designed to be, one piece swimsuits. Perhaps I’ll explain in another post, but there is an overwhelming focus on two piece swimwear and they seem reluctant to expand their repertoire into styles that are immensely popular in the real world.
Notably missing this year is any repeatable content, other than the jumping puzzle. No Quests, No FATES, nada. Also notable though, there is rarely much incentive to repeat content, and stuff like this can be overdone. The issue is it just doesn’t feel like a faire. Never has. If you have been to, or worked at some sort of yearly event, you know there are things that you try to do every time, while of course each year has its own unique challenges. I’m not saying they should design a big complicated faire every year. Just add a new feature each year and then bring back that with the jumping and one additional feature the next year. BUild up from there. The story each year could be about the new feature or not.
