  1. I posted a comment asking if the modding scene video was uploaded somewhere, literally just to hear you say you did just that.

Holy based! Definitely saving it so it doesn’t die to the corporate overlords.

  2. Even as a mod community they really need to normalize consent. Its become way to normal and common for especially femal characters to have there character cloned for sexual pictures/videos…my ex did this to me after we broke up i had to fantasia my character so it wasnt me anymore. Also just because people are on a synchshell even one for a nsfw venue doesnt mean everyone consents to seeing a orgie in limsa

  3. I never let my kids play games like this because they are a huge time sync that would interfere with their school work. That said, as a club enjoyer, I think things have gotten a little out of hand. My understanding was that mods were not to be openly talked about, like Fight Club. The most likely outcome of things is the introduction of anti-cheat software which will kill both the good and the bad mods.

  4. This video is a bit disingenuous. You say "We teleported to the main city and we're exposed to 18+ content without having consented to it" but that is actually just false. You consented to it when you decided to download the plugins which are third party BTW, and decided to trust a random mare code. You consented to all of It, and it's not squares job to moderate the 18+ things off their platform even if it's using their platform as a base. I'm not an SE fanboy, but they aren't allowing these things, that would be them openly saying go ahead and using them in their tos, but they don't say that so they have no liability for what you experienced by using a service that isn't related to their own one. The copyright strike is a real kick on the face though I'll say. I also really liked the other videos you did on the game, but this one just feels like a revenge video because they put a claim on one of your videos.

  5. XIV is by far my most played game, yet when compared to other mmos where I also mostly played solo (Runescape, Rift and GW2) I had way, way more spontaneous socialisation with its playerbase. And the perverts of said playerbase mostly knew to keep to themselves.
XIV is the only online game I played where degens are comfortable enough to be around en masse. There's a discussion to be had about the venn diagram between weebs and creeps/groomers/pdf files being quite the wide oval but people aren't ready for that, not in this community anyway.

  6. You might still be able to get away with allowing a child on the game by utilizing the term filter feature. Tragic it only allows for ten slots, but that should be more than enough to filter out both bot spam and all shout advertisements for clubs. Doesn't do anything for the party finder advertisements, but… maybe not creating an account on Crystal will help that. I haven't experienced other data center party finders, so I can't speak too confidently on that.
Unfortunately, no matter the space, the internet has never truly been safe for children. Malicious or not, there have always been some form of adult content, degenerate or otherwise, across most, if not all, internet spaces. You can try to protect and delegate as much as possible, but it is an inevitability that a child will stumble across something they shouldn't. While I do want to say that parents should be parenting, I understand that there is no amount of parental oversight and regulation will fully protect a child from digitally wandering outside their bounds and stumbling across something they shouldn't. The only true protection against the freedom of the internet is complete abstinence, but then that sets them up for failure with a lack of experience and knowledge on how to safely navigate the internet in the future, which they certainly will need. We've all lied about our ages to get somewhere where we shouldn't.

This is coming from someone who does dabble in the dark side of the modding community. Not extensively, I spend more time doing game stuff than socializing, but I wholly agree that the "after dark" scene is too brazenly publicly advertised.

  7. i think ERP on the game is bound to happen, its impossible for it to not, but i always tell these people with weird shit in their adventure plates that they shouldn't do that. This shit should only be kept in private rooms that are locked, end of story.. absolutely no where else

  8. I'm so sad we will never get part 2 of the under belly video now, all we have is people not getting what you were putting down. Your point really isnt hard to get

  9. Its the parents job to check what they're going on, not the creators of the game, or the people who play it. The game is great for kids, sure theres some more adult jokes, but theres going to be that in any game, because adults made it.

  10. I got into an argument on a SFW RP club's Discord server because I pointed out and objected to screenshots of characters wearing nothing but a jockstrap or BDSM rope bondage gear, and voiced my frustrations about how the RP "community" keeps stretching what they consider safe for work.
I used to shout places like that out, in good faith, now I fscking hate them.
These coomers have lost all sense of reality.

  11. I thought you where documenting this on a US server, i honestly shocked to find out you're on Odin. Thats where i used to play back in the day, and man we had to go hope onto US servers to find this amount of freaks. That its so out there now on an EU server is honestly insane to me lmfao

  12. Time to share on catbox, dailymotion, and a custom wordpress site.

I've seen a lot of abridge series parodies upload clips on youtube, and then link to patreon or some other streaming site. And those are the biggest copyright targets

  13. And what if one of these kids you're talking about finds your video and gets an accurate description of what's going on?
That's just as irresponsible. Even with the exact descriptions of the club names and players.

  14. Is there a way you could post your modbeast video somewhere for download? (outside of youtube)
I still want to show my friend the other half of the video, only got to part 3 before it got yoinked haha

  15. As someone that uses low mods (face textures, scars, etc) I agree that something has to be done about the NSFW modbeast that are getting a bit too comfortable with their stuff. The fact they think it's ok to have a full ERP session in public spaces while in public syncshells baffles me…

  16. Well on X (formerly known as Twitter) I found this modder who made sex scenes of teens (Gaia and Ryne) and sexualize screenshots of Alisaie and even Meteion being pegged by Hermes.

I honestly think you are right. There is a lot of pedophilia in our community.

  17. Seriously, this is turning into an echo chamber at this point. Square Enix is painfully aware that over half of their player base is deliberately breaking their ToS on an daily basis because, regrettably, it futher boosts the game's sales. To them, underage people and console players be damned. The (E)RP scene is currently the main pillar holding the game up, and for those who happen to be living under a rock, Square Enix NEEDS this game to remain profitable since it is the only one keeping their lights on.

I do apologize if I come off as rude and uncaring. I'm simply choosing to lay out what a harsh reality we live in.
