Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward Is A Masterpiece

Today I’m talking about Heavensward the first expansion of Final Fantasy XIV and how this game is a masterpiece. From the story, gameplay, and directing Heavensward is a complete step up from the original Final Fantasy XIV.

  1. Now I remember why I subscribed! I really enjoyed your previous video
I've unsubbed so I can re-experience League of Legends. But I've had a lot of fun with it! But Now I'm rethinking the value of the sub. So much more expensive than literally any other game I've had.

  2. I'll agree with everyone saying StormBlood is a bit weak coming after HeavensWard. It does have it's moments, and it does build towards the bigger plot, but it feels like it should have been two separate expansions instead of one. I will say it did give us some of the prettiest locations in the game up to that point though, and there are some points that had me invested (sadly they mostly come after the main story).
But despite that, it is worth playing through.

  3. The fight with nidhogg and the cutscenes around it is my fav part of Heavensward.
As for Stormblood, I can see why ppl would think it's less good, I do like it less than Heavensward and Shadowbringers, but I still think it's better than ARR. It did have a different focus. Heavensward was an epic about stopping a never ending war between dragon and man. Stormblood is more down to earth and gritty, politics, war, suppression and liberation. And it does have its moments for sure.

  4. Im definitely with most others in where i liked heavensward’s story more then i did stormblood, but honestly i still enjoyed it a lot. Stormbloods story imo isnt as good as HW but it sets up important things for the future and felt like a great adventure because of the many different areas we were introduced to. I also felt like stormblood was when they really started to step it up with different gameplay mechanics and that was the expansion i realized i truly love the gameplay. So while the story didnt live up to my expectations after HW, it did make me realize how big the world of Eorzea is and the potential of how far gameplay mechanics could go making me really excited. So now even after completing all of the story, im still playing daily just because theres still so much content to do even after 4 months of completing the story. Im excited to hear ur thoughts on SB and then SHB after!

  5. Hmmm, my favorite moment about HW. Well, back when I started playing and when HW came out the game was way different than it is now. So the thing I miss the most is the sense of community you had with your server. There was no cross server Party Finder, there was no cross server dungeons. Everything happened on your server. Every endgame raider knew each other, all the big FCs knew each other. Servers would have competitions to see who could clear content faster. The classes were pretty good and PvP was actually kindof fun. There were its drawbacks but IMO there are more positives to HW than drawbacks. The more they expand the game the less tight knit the communities are. And that's not a bad thing, but the game isn't HW anymore.
