When I experienced this for the first time in early access it was so beautiful it’s hard to put into words, such an amazing game
i wasnt fond of this song :/ but i also wasnt all that moved by endwalkers ending Zenos ruined everything. SHB 10/10 big sad big cry. Endwalker i dont get didnt feel personal.
JUST MY OP even if its not popular. I enjoyed most of what i saw untill we got to Ultima Thule then i lost most of my interest. they almost recaptured it when we got Hith and Emet back but then instantly ruined it with Zenos shoveing his stupid dragon head into my beef with angsty teen bird.
Dont get me wrong i dont hate EW at all but it didnt hold a candle to SHB or even Heavensward Overall.
alot of EW is better than HW and SHB forsure but i didnt have any tearful fits in EW.
I finally quit FF14 after playing since 2017. I really didn’t like Endwalker story at all but I’m glad that they did end the story at least so it’s a good time to move on ☺️ I have good memories of Heavensward and shadowbringers.
I saw a comment elsewhere that this isnt Hydaelyn singing to the WoL but when she greets newly departed souls to the aetherial sea and the afterlife – welcoming them to the cycle, to the star – and that death is not something to be feared. That they lived their lives and now returning to the star to continue to the cycle of life and death, to see and greet others that came before, those that will come in the inevitability of time- and to me that fits pretty well.
