  1. As a general rule of thumb for maximising your DPS; for three or more enemies use your AOE's, less than 3 then use your single target rotation. This varies a bit with certain classes and/or abilities later on but that's a good starting point. Also; love how much you're enjoying the visuals of the dungeons, can't wait for you to see the later expansion ones, these look bland by comparison…..

  2. Hmm mid way in video when posting this. I can see you will make a very decent black mage in the future. You seem to adapt pretty well. Which is vital for a black mage. Cant wait to see if you utilise the mobility tools when you get them at higher level.

Also from the time of this video i dont know if you figured it out by now though there is .5 second window at the end of your casting bar you can freely move or start casting your other spell without interuping your cast.

Please correct me if you have though. It may be sometime before i catch up with your other vids to see if you did learn it.

  3. I have a couple helpful macro's for you when you start getting into more crowded raids and hunt trains. These will turn most of the visual effects off. Otherwise, you might not even be able to see the monster you are fighting.

To turn most visual effects off.

    /micon "No" emote
    /bfx party simple
    /bfx other off
    /soundeffectsparty 50
    /soundeffectsother 20

    To turn them back on.

    /bfx party all
    /bfx other all
    /soundeffectsparty 100
    /soundeffectsother 100

You can put these on one of your hot bars for easy access at any time.

  4. You might already know this but you can use the blizzard aoe spell for 3+ enemies but you need to be close to them. You’ll get a more potent ranged version called Freeze later on.
