  1. I can easily see Chemist being a healing class that has to do with mixing potions, similar to Ninja’s mudras, don’t know why it would have to be a limited class. Also the argument about Necromancer makes no sense considering there’s already tons of skeletons and other undead enemies in the game

  2. I’d definitely like to see this! I personally want a rune fencer/spellblade class, could be a versatile mage/melee attacker. Another one that I want just for fun is double gun shields. That could just be an all out meat shield class that could have some ranged aspects. Whatever the classes are, I can’t wait!

  3. Necromancer is very unlikely Yoshi-P has spoken about it before in several interviews because it’s considered an “Evil” role raising corpses it doesn’t fit in with the character of the warrior of light. I actually think Geomancer is more likely to be the caster job than healer. I also think the limited job is likely to be beastmaster or puppet master as Yoshi-P used beastmaster as the example of limited job they could do in the future at previous fan fests and Puppet master is one of the most heavily requested due to its legacy status from FF11 but we shall see can’t wait for Friday !!

  4. I'm of the opinion that that Alphinaud and Alisae will be the new jobs in 6.0 since they're the only scions that didn't get a job change. In this lens, I think:

    Alphinaud: Geomancer*/Chemist
    Alisae: Rune Fencer*/Time Mage

First options I think are more likely for certain lore reasons, mainly that I can't see Alisae picking anything that is a full-on caster. She would have to get in there with some swordplay at some point, and that I don't think Alphinaud would ever put magic completely away in favor of purely chemical tools.

  5. I think they'll announce Time Mage and Chemist (Salve Maker) job. Actually they foreshadowed time mage in heavensward side quest, but I can't tell which side quest is since I think you haven't completed it yet. I predict Chemist first "Cure" ability will be named "First Aid"

  6. While I really did like the video and agree with you, why not include the possibility for a Musketeer/Corsair job? We were teased quite a lot with that with the most recent story quests involving Merlwyb, even going into detail to list off the names of 2 iconic pistols she used that are often associated with Corsairs in FFXI :O

  7. What about this bestmaster Charakter from the Relic weapon story line? First time I saw him he seemed to wear shield with a club kind of weapon. But maybe it was just strange looking sword….

  8. A rune knight or sorcerer would be cool. Being able to add elements to your weapons and armor and be able to manipulate them. And honestly a nice magic tank would be cute. I’m down for the Geomancer as that has been my class in every rpg I can either get it in or make it so I fucking hope so. And I think a chemist would be actually quite the class. If u really think about mixing potions as casting times and being able to do a rikku mix thing u could easily have a class that could do it all. And maybe…they could equip g*u*n*s* lol.

  9. I personally think that Time Mage will be more healer/support type in the idea that:

    1) It will probably have spells that can buff party members (like Haste) and debuff enemies (like Slow/Stop)

    2) It can probably “heal” people in the sense that it reverses time on party members and make it as though the damage never happened

    3) Back to point number 1, the Caster roles has never been very big on buffing/debuffing, outside of DoTs. I see Time Mage will have a wide arsenal in that department

Granted, the possibility of a Geomancer, or some people also have said Chemist, would make a better candidate for a healer, especially with the reasoning that has been made in that regard. I unfortunately know very little about the Geomancer job from previous games and am only vaguely familiar of the Chemist from FFX and FFX-2.

And about the Necromancer, you make a fair point about the skulls and bones thing with China, but there are easy ways around that. So, I see that Necromancer is a possibility of a job, but I also can’t help but feel like it won’t be introduced so soon after 5.3 dungeon.

I don’t know, we shall see tomorrow hopefully

  10. I want Time Mage super bad. Give me a caster DPS with job mechanics based around performing attacks over time and manipulating time to rewind time and repeat attacks, or pause scheduled attacks prior to dowtime, and so on. A "time wheel" job mechanic like that could be tons of fun.

  11. I have ff14 now and I think I will make my char today. I'm thinking if it's in the game a red mage or some other mage class definitely going with mage though what would you say is the best race for that.
