I mean, I only have a 54 ninja but huton is the damage buff/speed buff you gotta keep up. I'll take that, especially the follow ups for my damaging jutsu. They showed the lightning dash in that looks like chidori. Maybe that's the Raiton (the lightning strike) follow up. I hope so cause it looks badass
Think you mean storms eye Rurikhan, warriors can extend the timer with mythril tempest 🙂 Applying huton is always jin > chi > ten. Having an actual button to apply it without having to take up your mudra time is a much needed change!
Even as a dancer main some of those changes dont make much sense to me. Dancer’s general gameplay is a single target 1-2 combo that each hit has a 50% chance to proc to let you use a strong special gcd, (aoe skills work the same) and you get a skill at 72 that gives you all of your procs for free, by unifying the single target and aoe procs that skill gets weaker and less fun to use if thats how I think its changing. The new actions teased in the trailer though do have me excited.
For Warrior, if I'm correct the AoE Combo (Mythril Tempest) already extends the dmg buff (storms eye). So the change only is that it can now trigger it.
I feel like the Not using cooldowns in tanks is more of a new/bad tank behaviour in general then a wow tank behaviour. I mean the reason Vengeance DH was op last tier was because they had enough cooldwons for every pull. Admittedly you dont really need to use cooldwons outside of Raid and m+.
The new healer looks really exiting, it's kinda like wow's discipline priest where you give people a buff to heal them for a certain percentage of your damage. I currently prefer healing in wow because the damage rotations of wow healers feel so much more complex then the ones of FF healers. But if sage changes that I might give FF another try
Greased Lightning stacks being removed from monk isn't mentioned cause it's already happened
Rez Mage = Best Mage
I have been playing on a controller since HW. People still are amazed that I play with a controller instead of mouse and keyboard XD
6:50 You got it actually wrong, they're not changing the actual damage, they are basically changing their damage formulas so magic and physical attacks are calculated the same. So for example a 100 potency magic attack will deal the same base damage as a 100 potency physical attack, since right now a 100 potency magic attack does more damage.
Also there are no attacks or weapons that have both a physical and a magical component to them, at least not what they mentioned.
You can see how the tooltips of physical attacks right now have much higher numbers on them. And after the change the numbers on the tooltips of physical attacks will be lower so more in line with magical attacks, but the attack itself will deal the same damage as before.
Scholar did get a big rework, its literally a new job with a new name, they just forgot to remove the old one
Gonna miss the old "hi de ho" opening screen!
Was there for the stream, love your vids Ruri
You should do a guide for the 3 roles in 14. I think your monster hunter videos really help me out when I pick up a weapon I've never touched or haven't touched on 3 games. As someone who recently started 14 and in storm blood, I would like to see your tutorials.
Not gunna lie Sage is making me actually give healing a try, doubt I'm gunna actually do anything much on it but hey.
I'm so happy about the DoTs being removed from summoner.
Yahoo SMN for the win!!!
the old good turn based combat ff viii has far more depth than ffxiv lmao. good game design will never come back…
Not sure you're right on the changes to Requiescat. Currently, Enhanced Requiescat makes all your spells instant cast while you have the Requiescat aura. Doesn't matter how much MP you have left. Right now, remaining MP scales the damage positively of the initial Requiescat hit, and you get a 50% potency buff for spells cast while under Requiescat as long as your MP is 80% or higher. In 6.0, you'll get the 50% buff regardless of your remaining MP. I don't think the change has anything to do with the instant cast component.
we"re talking abotu the mruder of the scholars but nobody talk about the abandon of blue mage.
Sounds like they are using the 123 combo system they have for PVP and trying to implement it a little into PVE, since pvp your 123 rotates on 1 button
Scholar is TERRIBLE. What the Hell are they thinking?!
Hello! I would like to know If the game have big Dragons and Wyverns to fight on the wilderness, or these types of creatures only appears as bosses? (Sorry for my bad english).
The only point I would disagree with you on is that barrier healers require you to have more knowledge of a fight. This is simply not true as ANY HEALER can benefit from pre-knowledge of a situation. It would be more accurate to claim that barrier healers are more proactive as they can put shields out preemptively but they typically last for like 30 seconds so it's not like you can't just do that any time you want. Even if you put them up after damage has come out they will simply mitigate future damage while you maybe pulse an aoe heal to top people back up. What'll be interesting is if Scholar and Sage has an aoe regen heal akin to what Scholar has now but on a cooldown where they can't spam it like the pure healers but it is there situationally. White Mage and Astrologian both have single target shield abilities with White Mage getting multiple stacks of Divine Benison in 6.0 so it would seem likely to me that the barrier healers would have one move in their kit on like a 60 second cooldown that applies an aoe regen. this is quite powerful on Scholar because they can put out really powerful shields and then toss that on top to quickly raise everyone back up from big damage while protecting them from future damage.
I unlocked GNB and DRK. I’m generally a dps main but I’m willing to give tanking a shot. I’m down for a tanking guide.
The other Thing with Summoner is that they WILL have to change the Job Quests a LOT(from 30-50).
So everyone, look for yourself how it is now, because this is gonna change most likely
