  1. I'm honestly not upset by this, maybe a little disappointed that I can't play yet and I've been super excited to play it but even so 2 more weeks isn't the end of the world and that 2 weeks will give me some more time to finish wrapping up the content I never finished so that I am 100% completed with everything when EW launches.

  2. I wish they had let us know a month in advance rather than 2 weeks in advance so that more people who took time off could reschedule, but I don't know what all is going on behind the scenes. Either way, this doesn't really affect me personally.

  3. just saying but… when someone apologizes like that for an hour on not meeting a deadline they set, the normal response isn't anger. People aren't like that in real life. It doesn't feel good to punch a good individual who is down. People always forgive the mistakes of those that display traits of humility and honesty. Its not complicated nor is it a big deal. Its just reading the atmosphere.

people do not meet deadlines in companies all the time. Most issues happen when people do not hold themselves responsible, have shown their character to be dishonest and egotistical or do not communicate it.

if we are to believe the work culture in Japan, Then yoshi will have good reason to delay and that a decision like that is not frowned upon nor does he want to go out in public to apologize; considering how strict japan is on schedules and how meeting those deadlines tend to be resolved by abnormal amounts of overtime. 2 weeks is a miniscule of a delay. I work in the industry and all that will happen in that amount of time is just polish and bug fixes.

  4. Yes we're all a little bummed it's not sooner, but it's only 2 weeks, that's nothing.
As with you I was worried it was something more, like with Soken or something. So I was also relieved it was just that it's a delay.
I feel like the way Yoshida expressed his apologies was so deep and sincere, he shouldn't be hard on himself.
Himself and his team have done a wonderful job and I'm not any less hyped about Endwalker, actually a lot more hyped about it.
As for the Holiday thing, I mean yes it does suck, but not even I can book any Holidays during November and December due to it being the busiest type of the year in my workplace.
I do feel sorry for those who feel their holidays are wasted, but it's not the end of the world.
I personally don't see an issue with delays usually, because clearly they want to make sure everything is good to deliver to their players.
But it's nice to know that the community didn't get mad or enraged but are actually being understanding and patience.
Makes me proud to be apart of the community.
