  2. I cried too. I was petrified until Koji said almost in full remission…… And seeing Yoshi-P crying broke me all over again. I'm just so happy that he's recovering. He'll be fine, he's a true meteor survivor! This team is incredible. I love all of them.

  3. Fuck the people saying you cant feel anything for a piece of art made my the most amazing people. It’s just sad that they can’t feel the beauty and the soul they put into this work. I love this game, the people behind it, and the fans.

  5. I was emotional since when the last song started and this broke me 🥲 It must be really tough for YoshiP, he lost one of his friend (the writer of Dad of Light) to the cancer last year and knowing that Soken was going through this. I’m happy that now he got Soken back though.

Thank you both of them for all the amazing stuff that did for us 😭 5.3 IS my fav gaming experience of all time.

  7. Sir, this was a powerful video and an example of the magic of this game, the magic of this story, the magic of the music, and the enduring legacy of something so meaningful to so many people and beloved not just by the fans but by those putting their hearts and souls into such an amazing thing. Twelve bless you for releasing this video. Soken gave everyone a bow but I think I speak for us all when I say…Masayoshi-sama…*deeply bows*

  8. Whoever told you not to cry for videogames is ridiculous. Videogames are made my humans, they put their lives and souls into it! And especially a story like FFXIV… with these devs who are so dedicated and wonderful. We are supporting them by loving this game and crying and being in awe of their work!

  9. Next time I can finally go to a FanFest in person, I want to go to every developer and give them a huge hug. Yoshida and Soken specially. I have been waiting for so many years as the last 3 FanFests I could not go due to economy situation and surgeries made me unfit to travel and now this was cancelled to the pandemic

This game has been such a lovely thing in my life for 1/4th of my life, and I am 40 years old, 41 this august. I need to meet these devs and thank them in person

  10. I think it was in 5.3, in the background of one of the songs, there was a countdown timer playing. In the moment, the song was hype, but with this context, It elevates it oh so much higher! This was a guy who thought that every song he was making would be his last and wanted to leave his mark. ABSOLUTE LEGEND!
