Ok so there are a lot of crossovers in FFXIV, and that brings up the question of what is canon and in what games. Hopefully I can answer that question in a way that makes it easy for you to understand the lore issues for the crossovers that we have and the ones we will get in the future.

I’m in the minority of believing any crossover with 14 is Canon
Because multi-verse theory is a thing in Final Fantasy every crossover done is technically canon to 14
I was too young to play tactics. I’ve only played for Final Fantasy games and only two of them were numbered 14 and 15. You can argue that FFtype-0 is an extension of 13 so technically three games in the numbered series. But I’ve been following Final Fantasy my whole life, with kingdom hearts being my gateway into the franchise.
That’s literally the only redeeming quality Disney has as a franchise
