  1. This is super confusing. I thought this would be helping someone re-orient themselves with the game and it's mechanics/functions, but there's so much game terminology being used here with no explanation that I can't follow anything except "skills got removed figure it out" and "blue quests = new content." Don't want to be mean, but I'm just being thrown for a loop.

  2. Thanks so much for this! I'm considering coming back after 3-4 years away and this is exactly the info I was looking for.. after going through a dozen other vids. Cheers!

  3. I’ve been missing the raids lately but I haven’t played since eight after binding coil of bahamut turns 6 – 10. Seems pretty overwhelming and I started to hate the grid at that point. Having to run fate after fate and a bunch of other stuff for a minuscule upgrade. I thus 1 point for a signal stat.

  4. thank you for this. I only just joined FFXIV (right before Shadowbringers came out), and I dropped it once I caught up to the story (5.4, at least) to take care of life stuff, and i've been wanting to get back into it, but I always get so overwhelmed cuz I don't remember where anything is or what I should start with, but seeing some tips laid out has inspired me to just run palace of the dead to get used to my class again and jump back in, thank you!

  5. Square Enix should really make it easier for their returning players to find the client download. They still haven't fixed this after all these years. As if they don't want returning player money 😀

  6. I keep debating running a new character versus moving my level 50. I'm already 25 so it seems to go by quick enough now. My level 50 just feels so overwhelming to jump back to (left at the end of ARR before HW).

  7. As someone who never played mmos, but rather everything else until ff14. This is the best free trial of any game I've ever played. No other game will give you that amount of content

  8. I took a year break from the game. Came back and didn't know ware to start. I had tones of invintory and couldn't remember why I was collecting half the stuff I was holding on to. So I spent a day cleaning house selling everything I didn't need. I didn't want to jump back into tanking after being gone so long so I unlocked whm. I just hit lvl 80 last night actually! It was a nice way to ease back into the game . Im an op healer now, had no idea I would be so good at that class!

  9. The last time I played this game was 2017… I am downloading right now and am super hyped to play again but I am already feeling overwhelmed. Is it smart to just start a new job till I am back into the game instead of picking up my old job (since I can switch anyway)

  10. I last played ffxiv in 2019. I really miss it but was holding off playing because I knew I’d feel overwhelmed. But your video has given me the confidence to delve back in and just have fun and enjoy myself!

I also have warrior gear and it's so ugly, is this how I'll always look?
