Good morning loves! I’ll have to come up with something better for the community once I rebrand.. Anyway, @FINAL FANTASY XIV has released another 1.0 trailer. This seems to look remastered, but instead of taking it with a grain of salt, a lot of people seem to think this means something.. like FFXIV 1.0 remastered gameplay. Some people also think that 1.0 will be referenced quite a bit in Endwalker. This video, is a silly video about my reaction to the trailer, my lore questions, and why I think it was re-released. Don't be upset from dislikes, it's not going to happen. This is more about the lore hints, it's not about rebooting the 1.0 game experience. Something to do with Dragonstar.
N I G H T M A R E
Yoshi-P's been dropping a lot of hints (Platinum being a key theme he keeps referencing), and it's on record how much he loves mystery novels.
The core concept of 1.0's story was supposed to revolve around "What's buried underneath Silvertear Lake?" I'm fairly sure this is just to remind people of that as they've been resolving and retouching upon threads that were introduced in 1.0 throughout the expansions. Shadowbringers is a more refined version of a lot of untouched threads from 1.0, just handled a hell of a lot more effectively (i.e. Hydaelyn vs Zodiark, Ascian plotlines, etc.).
The two most popular theories being bounced around is either it's where Hydaelyn or the entrance to the Aetherial Sea is and how we get to her, or that it's where whatever produced The Sound that caused the Final Days was sealed under there. It wouldn't surprise me if they re-dropped the trailer to remind people of that plot point.

This is literally the send this to a friend and don't say anything. To be fair I think there is something important in the trailer most likely the battle of silver tear skys.
I've had a friend at this point suggest that the 1.0 trailer was originally on the Squeenix page, and only at 720p, while the new upload is on the FFXIV page, and is displayable in 1080p instead, and believed that to be the reasoning. The timing of the reupload is super curious to me though.
The 1.0 trailer was released because Endwalker is the end of the arc.
