To help you change the look of your gear: 1) You need to have completed the quest ‘If I had Glamour’ from Swyrgeim in Vesper Bay (outside the Waking Sands) in Western Thanalan. This is quick.
2) Obtain Glamour Prisms. You can buy them from the quartermaster of your Grand Company by spending seals otherwise go to the market board in any main city.
3) You need to go to an inn, there is one next to each adventure’s guild in Gridania, Ul’dah and Limsa Lominsa plus an inn in Ishgard, Kugane, Crystarium and Old sharlayan. Talk to the innkeep to enter.
4) Make sure you have the items you like the look of in your inventory or armoury chest
5) Inside the inn go to the Glamour dresser
6) Using the window on the right find the item you like the appearance of and click and confirm yes to store this item in the glamour dresser (this uses one glamour prism for each item)
7) Next click edit glamour plates on the window on the left
8) The new window helps you design up to 20 outfits to store using items within the glamour dresser. You do not need to fill all the slots just the one’s you want. Use the tabs above to select which numbered plate you want to create ie 1. Then in each equipable slot around your character click and select the item on the right window or leave blank if you don’t want the appearance changed of your current gear for that piece.
9) Click save once finished
10) You can also apply the outfit to your current gear (this changes the appearance but not the stats). You can also do this whenever you’re in a city by your character menu. There should be a glamour plate button just above your characters image.
