  1. You should watch the lords of war shorts, they give you some quick stories and details on each of the war lords from the Warlords of Dreanor expansion you recently reacted to.

  2. Garrosh : Speedruns world record for war crimes glitchless any% while acting all honourable and in the meantime loses every single ally the Horde has ever had while praising the horde's strength.
Some people : Garrosh did nothing wrong.

  4. Man i grew up with Garrosh, seeing him in Nagrand during the Burning Crusade expansion I was so hyped knowing the Hellscream name. Then we go into Wrath and he is just a boss, the Ulduar trailer was so good. Then cata happens, Blizzard cut some content out so Garrosh goes from a place of punishing those that kill without honor to using the power of a old god to burn the world down. And it was so out of left field.

  5. Garrosh literally does genocide on civilians and commits war crimes for breakfast every day, and people like "He done nothiong wrong"
Garrosh is basically WOW Hitler. Even Hitler cared about his people and country. That does not justrify his actions lol.

  6. The video you watched kinda glosses over a lot (hard to cram a lot into a video), but Garrosh was very much an evil dude.

He's not terrible sympathetic once you understand his whole story. He was presented with the option of trade and peace many times and kind of spat in the face of it.

Also the Stonetalon Mountains thing (where he killed his Captain for killing innocents) has been recognized by the developers as a mistake. He was never supposed to be framed as noble during that questline.

That being said, its been fun watching you dive into WoW and all the lore!

  7. Jesus, 6 minutes in and this guy has whitewashed Garrosh history more than Thrall whitewashed Orc history to Garrosh. Garrosh was already depicted as utterly incompetent and unhinged during Wrath with Saurfang constantly cleaning up after his messes in secret. Garrosh has only two positive showings during Cataclysm: Stonetalon Mountain and the way he dealt with Jaina and Theramore.

Jaina turned Theramore into an Alliance military base to be used as a military staging ground to harass the Horde. So Garrosh bombed the hell out of that city because its proximity to Orgrimmar made it too dangerous to exist as long as Jaina was using it to aid the Alliance against the Horde. He allowed the inhabitants of the city to evacuate first.

In Stonetalon he executed a general for slaughtering Alliance civilians.

The thing in Silverpine where he told Sylvanas to stop using the plague was because he was trying to use his invasion of Gilneas to kill off the Forsaken and in the process maybe capture Gilneas as well for his Orcs. The plague made the Forsaken too effective which would in turn meant that the Forsaken and Sylvanas would become the primary benefactors of that invasion in place of his Orcs.

  8. Thrall fostered Garrosh in a sense, he figured that with time Garrosh would become a good man, like his friend who died repenting for his mistakes, but Garrosh was NOT like his father in that way, he was just as Brash, twice as Stubborn and what's worse he was now Prideful. this Pride would lead him to stand firm and never admit that he was f***ing up, even when he sometimes knew that he was f***ing up. between this unwavering Pride and the traditions he grew up with as an Orc from Draenor, he was ultimately the best choice of Warchief, but not for the Horde, being too much of a savage who valued Strength above all else.

  9. during the whole Sylvanas raising Horde as Undead, Garrosh has a back and forth with her that was eventually edited;

Garrosh: "unnatural! what is the difference between YOU and the Lich King NOW??"

Sylvanas: "simple, i serve the Horde."

Garrosh: "watch your clever mouth, bitch!" "i will be watching you…"

  10. Someone does call Thrall out about putting Garrosh in charge. Garrosh does during the fight, the only one to do so. Voice acting is PEAK with Garrosh.
Thrall brushes it off saying Garrosh made his own choices & it wasn't his fault. At the time.
People say he cheated because in a traditional Orc duel it is between Warriors, their combat skills not magic.
Also the elements did not abandon Thrall because of him using them during the duel, they stopped responding due to his self doubt, guilt & because the Doomhammer stopped obeying him which compounded his doubts.
This is why Thrall goes to meet Anduin in the War Within trailer as he is going through the same thing, the Light isn't responding to him, not because it has abandoned him but because he has lost faith in himself. Them abandoning him due to the duel was a fan theory, it was made cannon in game it was due to his self doubt.

  11. Garrosh definitely did some "questionable" things but so did every wartime president in history (Hiroshima and Nagasaki?)
from his point of view, he did what he had to do, and he had courage to do it… and history is written by victors

  12. There is a game I want to tell you about, as a black guy I have to let you know about this.

There is a hack & slash game that`s in development, what makes this game special to me is for the first time in the hack & slash genre the main character is black, on top of that the developer is black.

In my fantasies I have always wanted to play a black character in a H&S game and now we are getting one, now if I could play an Indian character in a H&S game I would be happy.

The game look sick, it has an anime aesthetic, you can preform parkour, you can switch stances, its futuristic and the main character looks and sounds sick.

The game is called: Yasuke a Lost Descendant

If you`re interested check it out and support the devs (Dalliance Studios).

Shouts out to hack & slash games, they are making a comeback.

  13. 2:44 i would have to consult the books, but im almost sure thats not entirely true. the video makes it sound like the clans were in a constant state of warring one another, but fairly sure they only had occasional skirmishes.
yeah, page 46 of volume 2 of chronicles, paraphrased: the various orc clans that had formed by then traded blows and had territorial disputes with the ogre kingdoms. reading further, eventually they went to war with the ogres and destroyed the seat of their empire with the help of the elements. than a couple hundred years later the draenei crashed into the planet. and thats about it, only more skirmishes between orcs, ogres and draenei up until the burning legion started to undermine and corrupt orc culture.
4:20 this is interesting to me, because i used the same phrasing of "thrusting the leadership title onto someone unwilling" on the other video, when talking about Yrel. both were burdened with it in a time of crisis, both had mentors along their path, yet Yrel remained virtuous, while Garrosh did not.
7:07 iffy on that one too, im fairly sure that the horde wasnt at war with theramore. while theramore is part of the alliance, its its own, independent nation/city state and at that point jaina was still pretty peaceful, because she was buddies with thrall. HOWEVER the alliance used theramore as its major naval port on kalimdor, pretty close to orgrimmar and they built a highway into the barrens. so the attack wasnt entirely unjustified.
7:48 thats just plain not true, the two factions would not stop fighting one another. there have been several episodes of (relative) peace between the factions, such as after the 2nd invasion of the burning legion (warcraft 3), but every time conflict eventually broke out again. after these before the events of Battle for Azeroth, anduin sought peace with sylvanas and it also didnt happen. wrathion is a dragon, but still young and naive in the end.

garrosh was made warchief against his will, but his actions are his own. up to a point, he was fully aware and in charge of everything he was doing. the video also fails to mention his rampant racism, believing the orcs to be plain superior to all other species, only seeing the tauren as near-equals because of their strength, their physical prowess.

by comparison, anduin also had the leadership thrust upon him, several times in fact. he saw people around him betray him and the alliance or die, protecting him and the alliance. he held onto his convictions of bringing peace, not war. even things like sieging the undercity, which cost a huge amount of lives on both sides, was in large part done due to his advisors, especially genn greymane, rather than of his own will.

if you want an actual villains by circumstances, you need to learn more about arthas and illidan.

  14. Garrosh and Sylvanas were both amazing morally grey characters that never should have been made warchief and their characters just got kind of ruined and turned totally evil because idk they needed a big bad boss or smth. Garrosh absolutely did a lotta wrong, but he shouldnt have been in that position in the first place. And before he was in that position he was much more interesting as a character just like Sylvanas.

Both were ruthless, maybe even cruel, definitely not "good people" but nuanced. Garrosh had honor. Sylvanas seemed to genuinely care for the forsaken. But they decided to make them warchief and garrosh goes full blown genocidal racist maniac and sylvanas goes full blown genocidal selfish maniac (but its okay the jailer made her do it)

  15. Garrosh knew being put in the Warchief position wasn't a good idea as did the other Horde leaders, but Thrall had too much faith in thinking that Garrosh would listen to the advice given to him by the other Horde leaders. Garrosh was too headstrong, he didn't agree with the advice, he believed war and basically tyranny was the only way to solve all the problems of the horde. He cast aside the allied races and didn't listen to reason because now that he was in power, he felt his decisions were the right ones.

  16. I always stand behind the villains. Garrosh was an amazing leader, and even defended the enemy in the case of his people killing innocence. Sylvanas, I followed her to the end, and the storyline could have been great (until blizzard fucked it up and it wasn't).
