I would recommend watching Intro to the Honkaiverse. It's the first of the Chronicles videos. Oh! This isn't mihoyo first game. That honor goes to Fly Me 2 the Moon. It also marks the first appearance of Kiana as an MC.
If you want to know more about the world of honkai impact 3rd , you might want to check video of honkai chronicles , chronicle 1 is basic introduction to the world while the others are informations of characters before the game till certain part of the game .

Yeah you're already doing Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, can't blame you if you can't play Honkai Impact 3rd 😅. But since you've already said you can't play Hi3 at the moment would you be intrested in watching the Honkai impact Chronicles? they're a bit spoilery but if you don't mind it I would recommend watching it.
also also i feel its needed to be said this game unlike star rail n genshin focuses on quality over quantity, so instead of new characters all the time its new battle suits which act like a new playstyle to a character that already exist but u get them like a seperate character
WARNING, LONG COMMENT INBOUND!
First, some things unrelated to the cutscenes, I am a veteran player of this game, a Captain as we are called, second, you shouldn't worry about copyright issues as there a ton of reaction videos to these and Mihoyo/Hoyoverse is ok with people reacting to their stuff, third, most of the characters are female, the only exceptions are Welt, Otto, Kevin, and the MC from A Post Honkai Odyssey, fourth, they do a lot of fanservice as they know their target audience, fifth, the music slaps and is produced by Hoyo Mix, it slaps so much that they have done three online concerts, Starlit Sonarant, Dreamy Euphony, and Forest Capriccio, mand finally, they are a little out of order. Now, on to my info on each video so for anyone playing the game, MAJOR SPOILER WARNING!
1. Will of the Herrscher: This was the first major cutscene in the game as we found out that the MC< Kiana Kaslana, was not who she is, she was an experiment, K-423 , created by Otto to be the vessel for the second Herrscher, Sirin and was created with the genes of Sirin and the real Kiana Kaslana(I'll say who that is later), and that is her girlfriend, Mei Raiden she's choking, the dragon at the end is her most loyal pet, Benares
2. Reburn: This is normally seen before Will of the Herrscher and it was the concept trailer for the game. The reason why Kiana kisses the nech is because in the manga Second Eruption, her father Siegfried pilots the same mech into space and the words, "Ich Liebe Dich" is German for "I Love You"
3. Cyberangel: This is the part of the story when Bronya becomes the new Herrscher of Reason. Fun fact, the song is sung by the Chinese VA for Bronya, Hanser and yes, Bronya and Seele are in Star Rail but like other characters, they're different
4. Final Lesson: This happens immediately after Will of the Herrscher and before Cyberangel. The redhead, Himeko, sacrifices herself to save Kiana by injecting her with the Spear of Destiny, which neutralizes the Honkai inside her. This is why the game is nicknamed Depression Impact
MISSING VIDEO: This is normally where the Chapter 11EX short is normally seen
5. Seele: This was the culmination of Bronya's story arc as she was trying to get Seele out of the Sea of Quanta, the "Other Seele" is named by Captains as "Veliona", in the Chinese version, when Seele is hanging onto the ledge, Veliona grabs her hand and says, "Do you want to die?"
6. Bronya Another concept idea, Bronya was orphaned and at the orphanage, she was triained by the one they called "Matuschka", Cocolia, trained her to be an assassin, and Bronya are not sisters
7. Meteoric Salvation: At this point, Kiana has learned to keep Sirin under control and she has to stop an organization, World Serpent, from detonating a Honkai bomb in a major city, I'm surprised you didn't acknowledge that she was using a baseball bat as that's the legendary weapon of the Kaslana family, the other characters you saw were Rita(my personal favorite hence why she's in my pro pic) and Mei, the song is Starfall and is sung by Tia Ray, the vial she's holding at the end is the empty vial that was injected into her by Himeko

8. Lament of the Fallen: Personally, my favorite. This was the last part of Mei's character development arc as she fully becomes the Herrscher of Thunder and joins World Serpent. The song, Honkai World Diva, sung by Mika Kobayashi, can be sung in English, the line "If rescuing you is a sin, I'll gladly become a sinner. Sayonara, Kiana-chan" is one of the saddest lines in the game as Mei had to leave her beloved to save her, her dragon, Kurikara, is a reborn Benares
9. Reawakening, this started the Fu Hua arc as that character fighting Durandal, Kevin, and Bronya, is a Fu Hua imp0oster and we learn later that she's a new Herrscher
10. Shattered Samsara: Kiana has exposed the Herscher of Sentience, Senti for short, and fights her, Fu Hua tries to seal her away but Kiana gets her back, the song, Rubia, is sung by a guy, Zhou Shen, Fu Hua is one of few survivors of what is called the Previous Era and it was 50.000 years ago
11. Cooking with Valkyries: an anime series they made after the Mei story arc, highly recommended
12. Everlasting Flames: Kiana, now fully in control of the vessel, fights the Herrscher of Domination. This has a lot of similarities with Final Lesson, Kiana has a different look after each crystal she gets leading up to her transformation int the Herrscher of Flamescion, the song, Moon Halo, is sung by a Hoyo Mix artist, the main lyricist, and Hanser
13. Pre-Revelation: This was a preview of the final part of the Otto story arc, the characters you didin't know were Theresa(the girl who flung a giant cross on her back) and Li Sushang(former student of Fu Hua), the fight between Mei and Durandal never happened for two reasons, 1. Mei was in another realm and 2. Durandal found out something about herself during this arc, the girl ha calls for is the woman he loved 500 years ago, Kallen Kaslana
14. Reburn 2: Yes, this was a concept trailer for Star Rail as the girl, Carole, was supposed to be the MC, it was shown after the first concert along with a preview for the second part of APHO
15. Thus Spoke Apocalypse: The end of Otto's story arc, it was during this arc that we finally learned who the real Kiana Kaslana was and it was Durandal. It starts with Kallen's execution and at the same time, Otto is fighting a bunch of his clones which becomes a giant monster, he uses a weapon known as a Divine Key called Void Archives and it can mimic other divine keys, the ones he uses are Judgment of Shamash, Water's Edge, Abyss Flower, and Oath of Judah, he creates a new timeline for Kallen but sacrifices himself in the process, the song is called Regression
16. Because of You: This is the final part of the Elysian Realm side story as the 13 Flamechasers, 13 warriors from the Previous Era, fight the Herrscher of Corruption, Elysia is the last one(I love her VA, Marina Inoue), she gets help from the others and they are in the order that they help her, Eden, Mobius, Kalpas, Vill-V, Aponia, Sakura, Pardofelis, Kosma, Su, Fu Hua, Griseo, and Kevin Kaslana, the song is called TruE, as they help her, she becomes the Herrscher of Human Ego, at one point, Elysia says what she said in the trailer for Elysian Realm which basically says that it begins and ends with Elysia
17. Final: This was the trailer for the final act of Part 1 where the final enemy is Kevin Kaslana
18. Graduation Trip: Everything we have done in the game has lead up to this point, Mei and Kiana go around as we see everyone from the game with it ending as Kiana helps her younger self
I hope this gives you an idea of how great this game is
well basically starrail is an alternative universe , in hi3 they discuss multi-verses and alternative reality within the sea of quanta where both genshin and hsr are one of the many universes that resides in it. hi3 does delve into multiverse story-lines especially at chapter 14 (i think) and here and there as well like part 1.5 is about a universe that the world ended and some events like captainverse which you could say a prototype of star-rail.
hi3 itself isn't the original version and incarnations of these characters , prior to hi3 there's honkai gakuen where if starrail is heavily influenced by hi3 , hi3 is heavily influenced by gakuen.
there are things that are directly related to hi3 in starrail , like welt and loucha. it is unknown whether the train itself is hi3's cosmic juggernaut or just a variation of it from another universe.
and don't worry about copyrights for hi3 and starrail , for some odd reason only genshin is sensitive about it.

The pain when regression was skipped tho. That was the main song of the video and it was mistaken for credits. And also when senti was mistaken for mei. Guess thats just what happens when u got no context.

I THINK Anti-Entropy mechs are unmanned, but these same mech models can have pilots
these animated shorts are essentially to wrap up different story arcs for the characters/world so there's a lot going on in game in between them, to provide some context you could check out the honkai chronicles (a sort of tl/dr on the story at the point of yeah animation)
to see gameplay and hear some more insane music themes the pv trailers essentially act as version updates and character demos (like in genshin) together in one. its currently at version 6.9 with version 7.0 going live next week i think.
also while males appear in the story sometimes, there are no playable males in honkai impact 3rd, except in A Post Honkai Odyssey (APHO) which is a separate game mode set in the future 8 years after the end

I got into Honkai Impact 3rd long after I started playing Genshin, so I’m fairly fresh into it. I gotta say, although some aspects are a little outdated, the story is absolutely amazing!! If the Genshin anime succeeds, I really hope they will make a Honkai Impact 3rd anime series too!

There are actually three, technically four , Honkai games live right now:
– Honkai Gakuen 2 / GunGirlZ (GGZ)
– Honkai Impact 3rd
– Honkai 4 / Genshin / Genshin Impact
– Honkai: Star Rail
So when you mention Honkai , please be more specific. You could be talking about any of them.
To put it simply (and it's no simple concept), Honkai are existences of a higher order. Think of a giant tree in a massive sea, and the two at war, constantly trying to absorb the other. These are the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta. Bubble worlds grown on the Imaginary Tree, but they can also fall off, or be pruned by the Honkai. Once they fall into the Sea of Quanta, their energy is absorbed by it, until they disappear entirely. The Tree continues to absorb energy from the Sea in turn, creating new bubble worlds. You can think of the Honkai as the force that tests bubble worlds to see if they're strong enough for the Tree to keep supporting, and you can also see them as a will trying to bring other beings closer to the Imaginary. But for our purposes especially, they're trying to destroy humanity.
Honkai manifests as plagues, natural disasters, and Honkai Beasts that emanate an energy that can kill humans, turning some into Zombies. So humanity fights back. Honkai are often led by Herrschers (German for 'Sovereign)' who have dominion over a concept, making them more powerful than Genshin 's Archons. The Herrschers are often awakened from humans who feel betrayed by the rest of humanity, or who simply hate humanity, to lead the other Honkai in destroying them — and in the Previous Era 50,000 years ago, despite the civilization then being super-advanced, the Honkai won, although they did pass forward some knowledge and technology.
In the Current Era, three organizations fight the Honkai through different means: Schicksal, who use Valkyries; Anti-Entropy, who use Honkai-powered mechs (mostly unmanned), and World Serpent, who uses any means necessary and has the most PE technology. Valkyries also use Honkai energy, but if they use it too much they become corrupted by it, and either die or become corrupted into Honkai Beasts, Zombies, or Herrschers, and that's marked by red or purple lines on their bodies, which is called Honkai Cascade. Valkyries are taught to kill any comrades who they see are about to turn. Because Valkyries are treated as expendable this way, the North American branch of Schicksal rebelled and became Anti-Entropy.
Oh, and by the way, except for Zenless Zone Zero , Mihoyo's games all take place on different bubble worlds. Naturally this means the possibility for crossovers exists. This also means that Honkai can manifest in any of them, but manifesting a bit differently. Like the fragments of elder gods in the prequel manga for Genshin , or the Stellarons in HSR . It sort of tracks, since Sustainer of Heavenly Principles in Genshin is based on God Kiana or Herrscher of the Void, and has similar powers, and Cocolia's final form in HSR looks like Herrscher of ice, and has a Herrscher of Rimestar attack.
