  1. Nice, I can't wait to see your future streams! Your streams will help me catch up with the story without playing it myself. I've never played or watched the game myself, so I'd think it would be cool if you started from the beginning. Of course, only if it's okay with you.

  2. Look forward to your thoughts and streams of ffxiv!

I played during the 1.0 days and saw how the gameplay changed to 2.0 and beyond. So for me, the Realm Reborn story pacing wasn't as bad or slow as it was for most – it was re-immersion into a story that got interesting towards the end of 1.0.

I will agree that Stormblood overall, especially Ala Mhigo's storyline was when I was the most invested. So look forward to your thoughts on that as well, whenever you get there.

    Enjoy the ride!

  4. I was always interested in the lore and story of FFXIV, but I've never had a chance to play it myself. I don't really like multiplayer games and monthly fee is little to much for me, a student from Central Europe who works part time job. It would be great to experience this story with you and to hear your analysis of the game. I would like you to start from the beginning and to concentrate on story missions instead of endless side quest. But if you decided to continue from where you are right now, it wouldn't be a huge problem.

  5. Personally I am not much into MMO, coz basically for me MMO chores sometimes ruin the story pace of the game itself. But well coz it is FF , so I've decided to play FF XIV too in the end. FF XIV is really a massive game, & I only take MSQ quests & duty roullete/dungeons for leveling and overall took me around 210 hours to finally finished post Shadowbringers content. So far this FF really has great story and lore, although for me coz my poor vocab of archaic words ,(oh Urianger I lov u lol), sometimes I am struggle to find it attach me emotionally (like I lot cried with other FFs like X or XV but not much with this FF). But I hope you enjoy FF XIV, it is realy a great FF game overall, more mature story, contains heavy dialogue, and amazing lore 🙂

  6. oh man, you're going to fall in love with ff14 in a way you cant imagine. good luck and have fun!

EDIT: oh yea, def just continue with whatever character you have if you're only in ARR. Treat the ARR story arc as a prologue for world building. Once you get into the first expansion is when the story finds a sense of purpose and direction. That sense of purpose and direction only increases from there!

  7. Keen to "keep you on track" 😆
If you do side quests with your main character/class/job who is doing the msq you are leaving less to do for the other classes/jobs who will not be able to rely on the exp from doing the msq.
