The music in this game is all over the place genre-wise, and I love all of it. The composers are so good.
The tattoos are for graduating from the pretty city from the final trailer lol.
Final Fantasy is a world itself. It’s huge. If you planned to join, they have free trials including Heavensward. Enjoy a long, Game of Throne, Tolkienish, Harry Potter style of stories books by books.
Bahamut is the size of a planetary Moon. Not small. The video doesn't show the scale well, but take into consideration that the moon that exploded was still several thousand miles above the ground, and so was the dragon. The clouds you see him knock back are generally formed at around 50,000ish feet above ground level
One big reason the game looks so much better stormbringers forwards, is they stopped ahving to build the game to work on PS3, which only had 256mb of VRam, and just couldn't DO much
If you haven't tried out the free trial you should, it's worth the time and effort. It was such a nice experience for me 🙂
What a lot of people forget to mention is that FF XIV is a RPG first and the MMO part takes sort of second place. This blend is unique as it actually has a story and even the small sidequests got a small story and an explanation why you have to do them.
cool fact: the first video. was the cinematic Trailer. took place when the company shutdown the the old Final Fantasy 14 game at midnight. Its been a very long time. I forgot the day and year of it lol
anyway meteor looking thing crashing down to world. it was suppose to be a sign of the end of world. (old 14 game) Dragon is name: Bahamut. a God Dragon that got seal up Very Very long time ago, from the last group of warriors of light.. bad guy on the ship in the movie was the one that summon Bahamut to come back and to destroy the world once more
the old man. his name is: Louisoix. it's a very long story about him. they talk about him in reborn story. if you guys decide to play the game. if not. I'll try to shorten, he was one, who been training a group of characters that will help throughout your adventurer (that another long story lol) So he train you to understand, your powers that you have inside of you. to become the next warrior of light.(its in old version story of FF14) so what he did. Louisoix use a very powerful teleport. to teleport everyone in the game world into safe area. make them stay in slumber until the world was new again and the light returns (when Final Fantasy reborn comes out) then everyone will be waken again. the story tells you. it took 5 years later in game time. ( that was like 1 to 2 years in real life time) to be waken again. After doing that. Louisoix use up all his powers. which he calls on the 12 gods. that's whole part with the symbols that surrounding the Dragon was. to try to seal him up. but seeing it didn't work. he decide to save the world from being destroy from by Bahamut. he use the rest up his powers to try to kill Bahamut. after that he fade away. allowed the light from him to touch the world to be awaken once more. (the snow you saw)
also Fun fact: the part of the video. you guys saw. when everyone running in and attacking the evil Army. you guys were in awe seeing so many characters fighting off the bad guys. with all different looks and ways they fight. it was suppose to be an honor all the players around the world from the old Final Fantasy 14 game. as a thank you for sticking around until the very end of what we call it: 1.0 version lol all our names are in the credits at the end of the reborn story too. they really made sure to honor and thank all the fan for staying around to support them. while the redo the whole game from nothing.

"Grown up Riku from Kingdom Hearts." No! it's Cid from most Final Fa… oh wait, you guys didn't play any Final Fantasies! Y'all are missing out!!! Cid is also in KH. Majority of the time he looks different.
Final Fantasy honestly never made sense. I played a few of the older games growing up, and I distinctly remember the nonsensical jumpcuts in the cutscenes and the story. I know if you play and try to understand you do, but even though I respect the exodus from WoW and often migrating to FF14 I have no personal interest in it. It's either childish, nonsensical or just weird imo.

Where the heck that first trailer came from? Why its not used in the game? I was wondering what hapenned to Bahamut all the time, this is first time i see that expanded trailer.

He does, in a way, its hard to explain without full on spoiling it, but to put it simple, he becomes a raidboss, in the form of a phoenix, and you defeat him alongside his grandchildren. To actually spoil this shit, be warned.

bahamut( The big dragon) Is a Primal, primals manifest and are given birth to by the prayers of m any, hes the king of all dragons, and theres a fuck ton of entrapped dragons that have prayed for release and redemption which gave birth to him, hes too powerful to simply defeat so he was entrapped, that prison broke. The prayers of all Eorzeans(the continent this happened on) Made That gandalf guy(his name is louisoux) into a pseudo primal to fight bahamut. Sadly, he wouldnt die, he wasnt allowed that. And so bahamut or what was left of him, tempered his mind . In the raid, Phoenix aka Lousioux is the second to last boss with the last one being bahamut, You free him by defeating him. He gives his grandchildren a big hug and says that hes proud, then blesses you all with his power and thats the moment you can go to the final boss to finish what has been started.
I loved their reaction to the lalafel: "Aww!"
