  1. While I will agree the story of a realm reborn is not the greatest it's far better than WOW and other MMO's. If we talking single player games as much as I like final fantasy games my fav number one RPG is not a final fantasy.

  2. A really big detail is the architecture of whatever Fandaniel and Zenos are in. It matches up with the Void Ark, from the Alliance Raid for Heavensward. I don't know if Fandaniel and Zenos took control of the Void Ark, or if it's a structure made by the same civilization that made the Void Ark (which is connected to the war between the White Mages and Black Mages that led to one of the cataclysmic Umbral Eras).

That burning ship thing that Zenos was watching is one of the flying ships used by the Garlean empire. I can imagine that we have to team up with the Garlean empire in order to make an assault on whatever Zenos and Fandaniel are on.

  3. I only hope that people who haven’t checked out FFXIV see these trailers and decide to try the game. The free trial now goes up to lvl 60 and lets you play up through the main story of Heavensward. They’ve also streamlined ARR’s story quite a bit to make it faster and easier to progress through it.

  4. Those 2 already appeared in the Bloodstorm lately patches and Zenos being the main Villain. those 2 are also my most hated villain and worst villain in the whole Final fantasy series lol. Overpowered with wish of emptiness. One just wanna make a friend and another one is just obsessing with the end of the world.

  5. FF has always been with me throughout my childhood and honestly ive always loved most of their games. AAR story does kinda suck (mainly by just how long of a catch up it is and how the VA and sound design didnt get good till the last act or so). Honestly when it comes to FF14 though Shadowbringers felt like a really good true to heart normal FF title game and between it and 7 I have a tough time deciding which one I like more as a whole. Plus shadowbringer OST slaps hard.

Without spoiling much hooded robe dude looking at fires name is fandaniel hes introudced late Shadowbringers, basically hes the psychotic watch the world burn (In this trailer literally) type character. Zenos was the main guy from stormblood and is pretty much set up to be the final big bad for spoiler reasons.

WOL on the moon is just in paladin class the whole time with a robe that sorta hints at some end of shadowbringer content (the marketing team is insane that they made wol a paladin the main focus since in ff4 cecil went from a Dark Knight (Wol in shadowbringers) to Paladin (Endwalker) ) And its insane how I could comment so much just from a teaser.

Loved your video hoping to catch one of your streams sometime soon.

  6. Something else to add, Shadowbringers featured Dark Knight as the Warrior of Light’s job, which is changed into Paladin for Endwalker. Just like how Cecil changes from a Dark Knight to a Paladin in Final Fantasy IV. We’re coming full circle in more ways than one.

  7. Long time fan of FF (and FFXIV since 1.0) and I can't stop watching this teaser trailer. One of the best trailer I've seen from S-E so far. Everything got me pumped up to a whole new level. This trailer mark the end of the original saga for FFXIV, the conclusion of the war between Hydaelyn and Zodiark (Warrior of light vs. Ascians) and it's incredible. The guy you see wearing the cloak is one of the ascian you see during Shadowbringers (I don't want to spoil to anyone really) so yeah, people already knew about him prior to this trailer.

  8. "Played 200 hours and never got to good story"….did…did you just do nothing but craft/gather and gamble in gold saucer? That's not even a rhetorical question, like, how? Did you accidentally put an extra 0 in that number? lol Cause 200 hours is WELL past even CURRENT endgame. I'm not even trying to be an ass, I'm just legit baffled lmao

ARR was meh, but the good story kicks in once Heavensward hits and Shadowbringers is easily one of the best stories in the entire FF franchise.

  9. I love seeing your reaction to these! FFXIV can be very hard to get into from the start but I am glad I stuck with it. My Main job is White Mage (though I love Ninja & Machinist too). Heal my friends and feed my foes to the Blood Lilly!
Fave character in the trailer: My Best Girl Alisaie being the best Red Mage ever! I love the transition to her – her blade cutting the map in a move called Zwerchhau (the middle part of the melee rotation for RDM) before flipping backwards with Displacement into a Verholy instant cast. Things you, as a Red Mage, do in game. Red Mages use both White and Black magic, weaving between the two to empower themselves then dive in quick to deliver decisive blows with their blade. They did this too – showing off the actions a class can do in game – in the Shadowbringers trailer.
Also from Shadowbringers – The voice over for this trailer (male voice) is a voice over from one of the last dungeons of the main story.

  10. you really gotta get through a realmreborn to get to the good story, people's list so far of fav storyline is shadowbringers [the most recent one] then heavensward [which was my fav till shadowbringers] then storm blood and finally A realm Reborn. it's honestl;y worth it to hang in there and give it a try to get into heavensward. Shadowbringer's stroyline though was amazing, I was blown away. Like a good book I didn't want to put down!

  11. My Class: Everything. I am currently leveling all classes to 80 (including crafting and gathering classes). It is the first time I attempted this, but I did level a Astrologan to 80 first. I wanted to train healing, especially barrier healing since that'll be the entire thing for Sage, which is the most swag class that will be added. It is the Red Mage for healers.

  12. Yeah… You know, I used to hate on XIV for the longest time, over the span of like almost 7 years, because of how horrendously disappointing XIV A Realm Reborn was even compared to the end of XIV 1.0 that everyone talks trash about, but since coming back and going through Heavensward and Shadowbringers, quite honestly, a lot about XIV puts plenty of the other mainline games to shame. It's introduced some of the best storytelling and characters that the entire series has had in literal decades now (god, I feel old), and a level of world building the series has not had since XI which in my opinion has done THE best job at it out of every single final fantasy game to date, even Tactics and XII and that's saying something. I still think its a shame that people look down on the two MMOs because they really are something and well worth being counted among the main line games, hell, more so than some of the others (*cough*XIIIandXV*cough*), but at the same time I guess I can't blame people given the fame the genre has made for itself thanks to drivel like WoW, its myriad wannabes, and, well, even the (re?) beginnings of XIV with 2.0/A Realm Reborn… But boy is there light on the other side of the stinking sewage tunnel that is ARR…

  13. I gotta disagree that the beginning isn't good, it's just not as clear when you first play it. I've played through A Realm Reborn 5 times (3 of those all the way to Heavensward, 2 just through the 2.0 release and not patch content yet). There is SO MUCH that's laying the groundwork for everything to come. Going back and playing it again after Shadowbringers is really really eye opening just how many seeds are planted in the early levels of this game and how much they draw from to expand the story later on.

Even seemingly throwaway villain monologuing at the end of ARR offers huge hints to what came in Shadowbringers. "The hammer of darkness must needs be brought down upon the shield of light."

It's like the first chunk of Fellowship of the Rings. It takes a while, but there's a lot of world building to be done and a lot of plot elements to lay the groundwork for the amazing story that's going to ultimately unfold.

Heck, we're at the end of Shadowbringers and we went back to tie up threads from level 30 that are also providing crucial plot elements for our current battles.

  14. It's interesting, because a lot of the transitions in the very early Shadowbringers teaser trailer ended up where they put even more stuff in the final trailer. I wonder what they'll do with this one. All the fire transitions could lead to other things first, etc.

  15. ARR's story is mediocre , but it's definitely not bad by any stretch. Aside from that, FFXIV's story is probably one of the best in the series. I've played the whole series, and XIV is definitely up there with VI, VII, IX, X, and XII.

  16. 2.3 is where, imo, the game gets good. Then it gets pretty damn cool by 2.55, then it gets amazing in Heavensward, really really good in Stormblood, and 🥜🥜in Shadowbringers

  17. Ok, I have to ask (and hope you respond lol). What do you think of the point where the camera cuts to Fourchenault (the guy in the scene with Y'shtola, the twins' father) touching the map and moving it seemingly deliberately? I've watched this part a bunch of times and i just.. can't figure out why they'd show that part specifically without trying to point out that he's actually not a bad like he at first appears.
