5.0 Initially, there was a very loud condemnation from poets and ninja users in Japan.

Among other things, this is why BARD, famous for its video postings, spread the word by condemning the JOB adjustment and did not say anything about the adjustment for a time in the letter live.

Because the speeches were very long and fast this time, the subtitles may have been difficult to follow or unclear in some parts.

I’m translating the ffxiv clipping into English.
English translations are not perfect, so please do not believe everything!

  1. He's right of course. But I just want to point out that it's not necessarily the FFXIV community represented on forums or on Reddit. Forums and Reddit in general are very toxic. It's a internet thing. It's actually more on Square Enix imo if toxicity is allowed to thrive on the forums. If they enforced the forums like they did the game, it would be less bad. At least I believe that. It still doesn't make it okay ofc

  2. I think Gameplay related "ranting", especially when it comes to Job designs, is completely justified for many reasons, especially since it has been going only downhill since the beginning of ShB. It does not suprise me at all that the Dev Team is being called names such as being incompetent, especially when their only responses during Q&A's are either jokingly evading the main issue or memorable Quotes such as "If Healing isn't engaging enough just go play ultimate".

More importantly, thanks for those Uploads.

  3. Right attitude I feel.
The moment language and aggression escalates it descends into a very unhappy and unhelpful atmosphere for the developers and the players alike.

  4. Thanks for keep uploading these videos. Sometimes it is hard to understand the part where they are talking in Japanese, and it is easily overwhelming to listen without further translating context afterward. Your efforts in making translations of these clips have been a big help for me to understand how the developers and the teams explain announcements, so thank you so much!

  5. No need to be Jackass , put your opinion on the forums and leave, Touch some grass for god's sake. The fact they mentioned this shows something about how bad the situation is.

  7. I remember seeing a lot of disgusting comments on the English forums/subreddit when the housing bug hit at the start of 6.1. Words like “incompetent” were thrown around frivolously by armchair programmers who have only taken a CS101 community college class. It made me sick to my stomach. People berating the team that works tirelessly on this game we all enjoy just because they couldn’t get their virtual house. I understood the disappointment: I was affected by the bug, too! But that’s no reason to start personally attacking the people pouring days of their life into each patch so that you can enjoy and have fun. I got so sick of seeing it that I had to comment on the forums and offer up encouragement to anyone who saw it (e.g. community managers, since I know the devs don’t read the English forums).

  8. People getting rabbit about job balances… a bit lame to bring the meter topic, but I'll say that I play mch and in most savage runs we still manage to clear with lots of free time before enrage and the team being so bad I'm at the top of the meter. I'm not happy about the state of the class balance but some people really need to chill out. The dps check of the tier is low af.
