  1. What if you never have to "drop party" but being drawn into an instanced section is the same as leaving the region where your group is. The others can ALSO go in, but they're going into different rooms. Your still in a group, your still chatting in party, but you've wandered into different rooms. Like ending up in instance 1, 2 and 3 of a region under high load. Your not, NOT in a group anymore.

  2. They "solved" the problem of some people wanting to explore and some people not wanting to explore and just rush through by removing everything from new dungeons that could be looked at or explored or enjoyed slowly. It's just a bland hallway now.

  3. Maybe the minstrel wouldn't be the only one who can twist the universe, but he does seem to be the only projection from outside the universe (staff) that chooses to do such things. On the other hand, there are versions of KEFKA that are powerful enough to breach worlds and break the 4th wall and show up in 14. There are other bosses that are just as world spanning and dimension crossing. They could show up, give us a dream of what if…

    And then there's Greg.

If the next one is warring trad it really does need to be just a love letter to ff6. Have a kefka that's not just a simulation.

Omega is also building up enough to be a well plotted ultimate.

  4. Love that you brought up playing with your kids. I totally do this with my Son as well. he will be 7 this year. he's watched me play FFXIV for 3 years now. so he was so excited when we agreed to let him have a character. I basically fly him around. let him run through Eorzea PVE and he explores. he also LOVES exploring housing districts. its something to do for him. and I can let him go play and not worry about IRL problems.

  5. Ty for the video! I really love this game but even after 8 years it makes my brain hurt that I have to drop party with my friends all the time to do MSQ things. The first two years my friends would duck and cover knowing I was about to go off about the only single player MMO I'd ever paid to play every time we would have to disband. Now that we have all been playing for so long I agree with Brian that being able to go in dungeons with a friend that just started and use the trusts as the other two players or 3 friends and one trust would be really nice!

  6. I'm not mad about it. I love the game and i"ll play it as long as it's good. I do think it's the wrong direction. I think an MMO should be a social experience. The only thing I don't like about the game is that I run out of things to do. And all the single player content is mind numbingly easy. I wish they would spend more effort in putting more combat content in the world and perhaps harder dungeon content. It just sucks that savage and maybe some extremes are the only place that I get to really play my class. I'd love to do it in solo content in the world. I really liked zadnor for this, but then you had many fates that were very frustrating to solo. Idk I really wish they would focus more effort into mmo content, that would be my personal preference.
