Me too, i am a 9 year veteran of FF11 online. Played it back in 2002. It was my 3rd MMORPG ever which actually hooked me. I vividly remember whether I should buy back yard wrestling on PS2 or FF11. Coming high from FFX, I made the latter choice lol.
The areas shown remind me of FF9! The Viper also reminds me of Zidane Tribal from FF9! I have never played FF11, but I hope this stays in the game! I really hope FF11 ends up being Meracydia! I agree with you about the Limited Jobs! My Blue mage is lv 70 only because a friend of mine power leveled me to 70 by helping me kill mobs! I haven't touched it since! I hate Limited Jobs & want them to be turned into regular jobs! I know they can do it, they totally remade Summoner so they can with the Limited Jobs! I hate that they are locked from most content! The story of Blue Mage was good, but I watched that on YouTube!

i dont see people talking a lot about cgi quality in this new trailer. its honestly the thing im impressed the most. the water quality on estinien scene here is mind blowing, and character faces finally look perfect to their in-game models, especially compared to endwalker (with emphasis on graha/yshtola) im so hyped to see full trailer and how they will improve further on next ones. wow always had the best cinematics in terms of quality but this one is finally up there, with fight choreography being even better!

Got to keep in mind that this is only the early stages of the update and everything is not final. Not to mention this is only Graphical Update #1. So there will be a progressive updating on the visuals.
I don't like the idea of new job starting at lv80, this is crossing the line a little bit.
welp guess i cant play XIV anymore. i cant afford better gpu or even the min requirements. so long ff14 glad the last 12 years was fun.
Those little details are so important. The game is still dealing with a huge tech debt from the mess of 1.0 so every little thing they bring up to date is helping to stabilize and future proof the system. While it's not super impressive to look at it takes sooo much time and effort to ensure the game can keep looking better
Two things i noticed about Viper: 1, it looks like stance changing between dual blades and double bladed staff. 2, the power up seems to deal damage upon execution, unlike reaper's shroud.
