  2. reduce the business of viper? seriously? well…i'm glad I kept levelling my Ninja. True north exists for directional stuff and we get two if people are having trouble moving. My only complaint about viper is the rotation being like pvp. I wish I had the option to separate the buttons or not.

  3. Whats wrong with tank enmity? I never lose aggro on dungeon pulls from the first slam unless everyone is single targeting 1 mob– then of course i'll lose aggro on just that 1. As for trials/raids i can nuke an opener as warrior and become MT but the overall damage of the other tank after my opener will eventually pass me or not. That's the only problem with tank enmity i can see if both tanks have their stance on

  4. I don't understand how people are criticizing Viper about how busy the class is, because it's genuinely not that busy. I literally have a muscle degenerative condition affecting my hands, and play from SEA on the NA servers and I can play the class decently, missing one Ogcd here and there during double weaves.

    It's literally a class about going fast, which translated into low GCDs and a bunch of weaving, so WHY are people surprised it's a fast and busy class?

    There are plenty of classes out there on the meele DPS side alone that are slower in nature, why are people asking for the one class that goes fast to slow down?

  5. The Viper changes feel like a knee jerk overreaction to me. Is the job busy? No doubt. But it’s also brand spanking new and most players of average skill can master it with enough time, and their initial alarm will fade. Speaking as an average skill level player, myself, the business of viper has already started to become easier as I tackle it more. I don’t do ultimates, hardest stuff I’ve tackled is old savage fights, and this job feels fine to me. They are going to regret implementing changes so soon.

  6. I'm just here to say that the AST changes look really good. I'm excited for CD reductions on the Draw spells (More Lord of Crowns please) and Lightspeed getting a CD reduction AND storing charges is stellar (No pun intended). Not to mention the potency increase to Macrocosmos so now it'll do more damage than a single Fall Malefic.

    Oracle going from 600 potency (In the media tour build) to over 800 live was already a really nice change, so I'm hopeful for what these will bring.

  7. Black mage was seriously nerfed… and I hate it. Recast times are LONGER now, no matter how much you put in Spell Speed. Its ridiculous. They absolutely don't want us fast casting. I have level 98 gear right now, and I did MORE damage with the crap I brough over from Endwalker?!?!?!?!

  8. Tanks losing aggro is really highlighted with a pictomancer. Picto in dungeon packs has insane AOE and whenever I used my hammer attacks it would instantly rip aggro. Every tank I got could not hold agro off me if I had my burst up. And when I leveled a tank, pictomancers were the only ones able to rip off me

  9. It would be really great if they fixed the skybox issue, when a character gets rendered infront of the sky they get really pixilated its actually beyond annoying and no one seems to be talking about it

Man after my main, samurai's kaiten being removed it felt weird i eventually stopped playing it, never felt like there was a different job i could actually call my main, been analysing viper way before launch with all hype, currently in msq with viper and i finally feel like having a main job under my name again. I'm scared I'll immediately lose my main again after the changes as the current form feels absolutely perfect for me

  11. Isnt Viper just "zoomies" the job? You ferverently press whatever lights up like a game of whack-a-mole?

    I'm more curious about Picto; the entire canvas system feels like unnecessary busywork – Im painting a hammer then casting the hammer then using the hammer. — That's three buttons to use one skill.

  12. Viper is nice like whats the point changing a job with tons of keys to press and be busy to 5 buttons max? like i hope yoshi p aint doing wow style or other games style

  13. To clarify a bit about Black Mage, adding potency isn't just about dealing more damage – it's about fixing the rotation, too. For example, in AoE, High Fire 2 and High Blizzard 2 do so little damage, that it's best to skip them with Transpose, even though it puts you in just the first level of each attunement. If you end your fire phase with an instant Flarestar, a strong option is to weave Transpose after it, and then Freeze > Freeze > Transpose (clipped) > AF1HF2. I think there are better things to do than that, but they're all far from intended, surely.

  14. BLM needs some serious work. 1) The damage is so low now – even playing a perfect rotation, when the mechanics allow it, you’re still way down the aggro list. There’s been no adjustment for the loss of DPS due to removal of the Paradox in ice, and for some reason the potencies of high fire and ice have been reduced. BLM is supposed to be the big damage class due to no other utility etc., and now I can’t do more AOE damage than a guy with a katana or a bow
 This is made all the worse by the fact that pictomancer can do more damage and has all the utility bonuses on top!

    2) The timings are too tight and all the old flexibility you could use to keep up DPS in a busy fight is gone. Half the time you can’t get a flare star because of a fire drop off or the boss clears off mid-rotation. Thunderhead is too short a timer, and half the time it drops off before you need it. Half the time in ice the timer is running out before you’re ready to switch, as you more or less have to do despair in ice due to the tight fire timings to get flare star.

  15. i used to play ff14, hit max lvl (it was 80 then) did some raids and stuff….. left the game and never came back. I wanted to come back and play with a friend from lvl 1 but, leveling killed our hype and we are not longer playing this game. Leveling in FF14 is the only thing that keeps some part of players away from the game to be fair – i know it is not related with class changed… but they should do something with the leveling experience as it is just bad.

  16. As a monk main, I LOVE the way DT Monk plays. While I agree that our AOE skills need a buff, I'm hesitant about changing the fury system so much that it requires a HUD update. I love the new fury system!

  17. As a BLM main player since they added the Jobs System in 1.0, i can honestly say i feel i would prefer 1.0 BLM playstyle over the frustrating clunky feel and unrewarding Dawntrail BLM plays. With timer being as they are, it's not with time to keep thunder, maintain Enochian and get Flarestar off without feeling rushed and just one tiny need to sidestep during a cast can make you stuck at 5/6 Flarestar stacks.

    They either need to lengthen the timers or reduce cast times. And I can barely find any gear that has Spell Speed on it :/

    Flarestar potency also feels pathetic consider seeing the numbers i get on other jobs aoes that takes less time and effort to get off

    High fire/Blizzard 2 potency is also a joke.

    I'd rather wish they took away that third Xeno stack and gave back ice paradox

    And the Retrace leylines are good but damn so many mechanics do so many aoes after each other that when having moved, moved LL, boss decides to target me again and again lol

    I've always found BLM changes in all expansions enjoyable. But this time i fear BLMs will get excluded from getting invited to parties like a while in Stormblood where the Meta ruled and PF actively kicked me as I joined as BLM and they then removed BLM as a job to join.

    I am pretty worried these changes in 7.01 and 7.05 will not be enough and Savage will see little to no BLM clearing them

  18. Something that has always bothered me as a RDM main is that sprint uses/removes dual cast. Wish they would fix it but it has been like that for so long that I don’t ever see it happening.

  19. Seems fine. Id still play the class anyway because that is what a true gamer would do instead of crying.
    Right now it’s the 1% up in arms like the toxic few they are, an that’s fine. They can either still play it an have fun or just quit. Pretty simple from a casual standpoint.
