Oh, you don’t know how many times I’ve often died not being able to see aoe circles due to so many flashy effects around me.
This is indeed a very helpful tip for everyone that could suffer this like I did.

I wasn't expecting this to be in earnest and was fully prepared for

This is bad you REALLY SHOULD NOT TURN Team Effects TO NONE ABSOLUTLY NOT NEVER . WHY YOU MIGHT ASK? Beacouse you wont be able to see stuff like bubble on the floor such as asylum or any other ground effects that might be useful and if your a tank you wouldnt want to pull stuff out of a Dotan or even a smn egi guruda aoe effect so I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU CHANGE THE VIDEO TO SAY TEAM MATES EFFECT TO "LIMITED"
I turn that off and names. I hate seeing all the names on my screen like that
As a new Lalafell this helps immensely. I get absorbed into all the explosions too easily 😂😂
Honestly, if they were willing to just make effects less obnoxious for everything instead of just an option to turn off, it'd be great. Otherwise most fights lose theur gravitas imo

I have them off for open world players too
And that‘s the reason why healers sometimes pull the tank or dps player into the healing bubble. Because a moron told them to turn of party effects completely, instead of just showing limited…
But the pretty lights
But those explosions and lights look really nice and awesome. Feels like a real battlefield. The more blinding the better.
Oh god this is so helpful I got a monitor with HDR in March and I get blinded with other effects Thank you so much. Glad this was in my feed (now subscribed)
Use show limited for party, do not use show none, I repeat, do not use show none. You won't see some of the friendly aoe that you want to stand in.

Holy crap I didn't know that.
I have a trio of macros to switch between degrees of hiding player names and effects for when I do hunts (show none), raids (show limited), and general stuff (show all) that I just put on an extra hotbar.
