Happy April 1st! Final toading trap video will be out tomorrow. I figured doing a video as a tonberry about tonberrys was more appropriate for April Fool's Day.
Also was super bummed I didn't think to record the footage of my accepting the 3rd dialogue option.
At first I thought you misspoke and that if you complete the job quests the tonberry in the dungeon will give you the unique text. But nope you need to be a Scholar to get this text. Definitely missed this.
I'm actually surprised they dropped this bit of lore in a seasonal event. Considering they were turned into tonberries during the War of the Magi which is around the 4th Astral era that means Tonberries could have been around since the Allags or even predates them
So based on the name, I'm guessing they were Lalafels that were cursed to look like Tonberries, so… Um, how'd the other few grow so damn huge? Are those the REAL Tonberries, or Tallafel that were cursed as well?

Well yeah the scholar quest describes how they were curse but I still consider them tonberries cuz Im not a fucking nerd like hamlyn

Probably would have noticed it if I did the event on an alt that doesn't have a level 82 scholar though, wouldn't it? 🤣
