BTW, in the japanese version the quest title of DRK questline is literally a poet divided into several lines. Especially for the 30-50 ones and the Stormblood ones (basically whenever Fray got involved) For the 30-50: 死より冥き闇に (shi yori kuraki yami ni/from the darkness deeper than death)
暗黒は揺らめく (ankoku ha yurameku/the darkness flicker)
悲鳴に導かれ (himei ni michibikare/led by the scream)
英雄は往けど (eiyuu ha yukedo/the heroes go)
世界は仇なす (sekai ha adanasu/loathed by the world)
だから僕は (dakara boku ha/that's why i)
本当の暗黒騎士 (hontou no ankoku kishi/the true Dark Knight)
As for the stormblood ones 暗影に沈むエピローグ (an'ei ni shizumu epilogue/Epilogue that sunk into the darkness)
あと四度、償いの先 (ato Shi-do, Tsugunai no Saki/For 4 more times, beyond the redemption)
あと三度、遥かな憧憬 (ato san do, harukana doukei/For Three more times, a distant longing)
あと二度、奇跡の結末 (ato ni do, kiseki no ketsumatsu/For two more times, the miraculous closure)
あと一度、君に会えたら (ato ichido, kimi ni aetara/I want to meet you for one last time)
Even in some of the MSQ journal entries, like in Post-ARR, your character makes comments about what's going on. Like how during the Crystal Braves Arc, your character seems to be annoyed with how Alphinaud is ordering you around. I think DRK is generally more off putting because while a lot of the MSQ entries do include your character's perspective on things, DRK quests are the only ones where there are messages in first person.
Things i missed in ff14. Did you know if you play passed hw it sctuslly unlocks a quest to go to gyr abania where youll begin to liberate ala mhigo from the imperial tyranny
Not to mention the obvious reference quotes directly alluding to a certain movie with a similar plot. I'm not allowed to talk about it though, because even that would be a spoiler, and that's against the rules.

Another fun fact, the DRK journal changes depending on whether you have the DRK Soulstone equipped!
