  1. I'll play a little bit a of devils advocate here. Did they cheat? Yes 100% not arguing that ,and the zoom addon allows you to zoom out WAY to far in my opinion. However, in most mmorpg's Like wow, swtor, gw2, and so on. For the most part you have an opinion you can enable to zoom your camera out pretty far. Much further then ff14 allows you to do. Maybe that is a gameplay decision SE wants to keep for some reason. Does this flaw give these players an excuse to cheat? No absolutely not ,but maybe SE can allow a bit more zoom out further down the line.

  2. I mean, I’m hearing addon callouts on Mr Happy clips and others, the robotic voice calling “no swap” several times before they saw dynamis phase the first time. Other clips with a robot voice calling “find man” during dynamis phase from another group. Seems like a lot of groups are using these illegal programs

  3. It's sad cause 2 of the players on that team Rin & Sophy from what i hear are honestly legit good players in the JP scene.
That's the ongoing problem we have with teams that choose to not stream their runs. That we often time will never know if these clears will be legit going forward. If this footage was never leaked we would've never known.

Those who choose to stream will have greater respect & i think these streamers who do stream should get more recognition.

  4. Ok as we see i can understand the zoom hack but for addons for that just give coold down timers and other stuff those are not cheating, I belive that if you look at the video posted and compare that cheater to this "cheater" you see two different things. Snow flakes are just upset about cool down timers and other things. This zoom "hack" is what everyone upset about being able to zoom far like other MMOs. at least these people are actually memorizing the mechanics unlike people who have a mini map with every AOE display and a line on their screen if you look at the video posted. So this i say is not as bad as you think.

  5. No one should be bothered by this honestly. Camera view in this game are horrendously shit and I'm surprised yoshi p hasn't bothered to fix it yet. At least now, they will think about it after the ban. Because that's how square enix is taught to implement anything.

Same shit, different story. Nothing has changed and it's time to grow up

  6. It seems that the group that cleared the Omega Ultimate promised their "support team members," those who helped them analyze the fight, that they would clear this encounter for them.
    One by one.

After this promise, as well as the alternative of rewarding them otherwise for their help, those who were left in the cold got mad as hell and then leaked the video that started this whole situation.

  7. As far as iknow on ffxiv u can zoom out more the camera with macros or even with the normal camera configuration inside of FFXIV , you dont need to cheat for this lmao , what happens her is casual players are so idiots and just sitting there doing roulettes and watching world first clears like if they know everything , and pointing everyone as cheaters , come on ACT yoshi p dont give a fuck lets be honest since is not a 3rd party tool who can affect the community at all , her a video from yoshi p using the same camera zoom out same as this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdQMXinVahg you can do it alrdy inside of FFXIV

  8. Anti-cheat should be implemented. Have the game figure out the party has cheaters and just have Godbert appear and yeet them out the instance. Or have them fight a unbeatable GREG.

Yoshi P has already stated in eloquent terms that he won't do anything because of how complicated solving the problem is.

  9. Such zoom, much hack. Imagine what other tools they are using that are less visible. Though almost all the PC players that criticize are probably hypocrites using ACT, triggers, cactbot etc. They should just put dps meter in game and ban the use of everything else. The refusal to put dps meters in games makes the community accept ACT as necessary and any plugins for it as acceptable. I am on the side that extreme, savage, and ultimates require dps meters, but the result of their stance on dps meters in game is that most add-ons are deemed acceptable to a large portion of the community.

  10. They should 100% be disqualified and banned. The line is very clear, if the add-on only affects you as in tracking your own DPS, animation changes to just make your character look cool, that's fine because it does nothing to anyone else and does not give you an unfair advantage. Stuff like this, is very clearly a massive advantage, it ruins the entire point of Ultimates and race to world first as well. This is why no one cares about titles or ultimate weapons or anything, it has no value because so many players cheat to get them.
They're gonna either need to implement anti-cheat at this point or just make it clear that no content matters and just let people god mode everything in the game if they want glam and just say F it, since even the so called top 1% of the player base isn't actually playing the content as intended. It kills me too because it's always the same people that complain about the game being too easy, that get caught doing stuff like this.

  11. Groups don't HAVE to stream, that is their right but in this day and age with all the cheating going on if you want to be considered world first I really feel you need to be broadcasting it for the world to see or else people just won't believe it's a legit kill. I hope SE does not give props to this team and I hope they all get banned. Also I'd bet a bunch of the other teams not streaming are using these same mods as well.

  12. They need to make it so that people with super wide screen (ex 32:9) don't have a field of view advantage on people who have regular 16:9 monitors. For example let people with 16:9 get the same view as 32:9 or something. If they ban this zoom hack somehow but don't do anything, players doing world prog would be forced to get 32:9 monitors, which is stupid. This is a sh*t situation.

  14. SImple. Ban everyone in that party. Remove 'world first' or ranking systems. Ban their FC's, and finally find a way to break/detect third party 'ingame' apps. It's brutal, but I think the point here is to send a message. "No. no on you. No on everyone who helped you. No to everyone following your leadership. No to the leadership that allowed you to do this. No to everyone who thinks this is ok."

  15. And this is why ultimate race is pointless. Even if someone is streaming it with no add-ons who knows what the other 7 players are using. It's a fun challenge but should not be taken as a big event like everyone makes it out to be.

  16. Im so happy its JP community who did this, after all the shit they spout and their holier than thou attitude just because the clear of DRS was using harmless add on.

When they protest next, we can just "shut up cheater"

  17. Tbh the reason why they cheat is because they are rubbish without hacks
Whatever happened to working hard for ur rewards I see more fun in this and a feeling of achievement than cheating. They got what they deserved.
