  1. I suspect they simply rolled back scholar into it's previous DPS form and then merged in altered forms of the Shadowbringers abilities with stronger emphasis on shields. They probably felt a strong emphasis on this wasn't necessary, not realizing the potentially bad optics. That's just my guess though.

  2. What Yoshi P said was that they couldn't think of much that they NEEDED to add to scholar and that's because their kit is pretty complete it just needs a few backend tweaks like the pet AI which they will still be working on.
For raid comps what you have to think when comparing sage and scholar is that although in burst windows sage may do a little more DPS than scholar it doesn't have abilities like chain stratagem which more than makes up for it other than that their skills are pretty comparable overall from what the sage skill translations say.
As for the healing a partner by damage it's actually healing by attacking so won't affect the likes of dots where as the fairy will be healing even when the scholar is too busy dealing with mechanics.

  3. If they don't have that "Another Moon" song from FF4 playing on FF14's moon, then there will be a riot! lol

About the "skeleton censor" stuff in China… It's true they are very strict with that stuff, but it is not completely prohibited! But most publishers simply take the easy way out and just censor it themselves so it won't even come up during the age rating submission process.
