  1. Person from India here, have had this same issue for over a year now. Its either something to do with SE payment portal or Indian restriction to international automatic recurring payment which leaves me with only option of using crysta now :c

  2. OCE. I am forced to use paysafe – they don't use crysta in Australia. I've been complaining about this to SE and getting told it's my bank. I've been to my bank and it's not me. I can buy things on the mogstore, but not pay for my sub.

    I've been vocal about this for over a year. I've been on the official xiv forum. I've contacted se. Can't remember where else. But I just hope they finally fix the damn thing.

  3. I play WoW, GW2 and FFXIV. FFXIV is the only game that has a 19th century payment options. They need to change this ASAP, update the site and be done with it. I shouldn't be forced to use 3rd party sites to understand how to use Mogstation.

  4. My sub ended not the 30th and now it won’t take my Visa but I’m not to worried about it cause we have a month to go till Dawntrail and I’m sure they’ll fix it by then.

  5. I am a foreigner living in the US and frankly the address verification nonsense is not just an SE problem. The whole system world wide is riddled with issues, while i understand that its for “security purposes”, if your address is in a format they don’t recognize because if regional incompatibility or god forbid you dont have a zip code. You my friend are severely SOL.

  6. Another issue as some others have mentioned. You CANNOT change your country on mogstation/account management.

    Which means if you ever moved country, even if it's still within the same region (for example, I moved from NZ to UK, which still is withing EU/Other region regardless), however my country is permanently locked to NZ. Therefore, my registered address can never match my real address. Such a silly thing, but if you're going to add an additional check to credit cards to match address on mogstation, then why the heck you can't change your address to BE accurate is beyond me.

    While there are workarounds that work for some, and my sub hasn't renewed yet since the change so I am waiting to see if it will go through or not, it is definitely causing me some anguish and deflating a lot of the hype I have for DT, as I don't know how much of a pain it'll be to figure out how to pay for my sub, or if I will even be able to.

    I would love to see some more influential members of the community such as content creators to bring this issue up in various interviews and press events such as the media tour so this can be brought up at the top such as to YoshiP and such.

    Best we can do for now is be vocal on official forums, reddit, and make our favourite content creators and more influential members of the community aware of this stuff for them to bring it up during interviews and press events.

  7. if they the have the codes in stock Amazon and everywhere else were out of stock on game time codes a month ago its how I typically pay my sub so I looked all over the place for one & ended up having to use a cc to renew my sub

  8. My partner used to do work for payment processing, and when talking to them about this last night they said something pretty interesting.
    Essentially the most likely reason this happened is in an effort to save on processing fees square has moved to a complete bottom of the barrel payment processing company which is essentially not trusted to do debit transactions according to Visa. The reason Visa credit can still go through is because credit transactions have a higher transaction fee than debit transactions too and they're easier to reverse.

    So yeah this is square as a publisher and as a business doing what they always do which is being incredibly cheap and very bad at running a business.

  9. No payment issue but when I ordered CE through the store I ordered as a guest and they emailed me today saying there was an error that’s why I had to check out as guest and order would be moved to my account. Cause it was slammed Day 1

  10. Honestly felt a bit like a comedy to me as not only was my card "unavailable," but Amazon and Paypal didn't want to work either when attempting for crysta. Including on another browser. Would really prefer not to use time cards because I do like having my extra retainers, but have a temp fix for now.

  11. I live in SEA but I use US steam to play FFXIV, and can't use every payment method including STEAM PAYMENT, CREDIT/DEBIT CARD, PAYPAL and CRYSTA, because they will ask my ADDRESS, and my ADDRESS is a made up ADDRESS… I can't even focus in my class now thinking about this >.< what a joke!

  12. I hope there will no problem with steam payments… I use a visa prepaid and reading about all this… Give me a bit of anxety ngl.
    Is also true my address is updated since just last december i had to renew my card, but overall SE itself ain't really doing that well on some of their behaviors

  13. Japan doing Japan things. Too stubborn and traditional to update their systems/engines/mentality so the debt catches up. Not to mention them stroking off Sony so much that they do it GLADLY WHILE LOSING PROFITS from PC sales.

  14. Costa Rica central america here, i was unable to buy the Dawntrail expansion DLC, i try try and try, and notting, i get contact with usser support, and they give me some tips, and…. NOTHING…., for days i try and try again, and get frustate, them i ask my brother who live in CANADA… Surprise… he can buy the dlc, and send it to me the code without any trouble at all…

  15. Not in either region. I had trouble shortly after the update, and began reporting it to SE Support straight away. For weeks, they kept insisting that I was doing something wrong, when I obviously wasn’t. I’m glad they’ve finally gotten round to acknowledging that.

  16. While I was able to save my account for another 90 days on renewal, I had to buy 5k Crysta to make sure the account stayed afloat until they can fix the issue with the registry. That's more money than the renewal process typically suggests, so I'm giving more money than I need to because of an error on their end. If ever there was a wake-up call to dress down their entire set-up system, site, and structure, NOW is the time in the wake of a new expansion.

  17. It is a horrible website. It is funny because I was about to resub to do the ff16 event and pre order dawntrail but at this point I am just going to spend the money elsewhere since I literally cannot give them money.
