Mane Tank got a clip of a streamer making fun of him, and it’s priceless. https://twitter.com/mane_tank/status/1361775530253541378?s=20

  1. I am in agreement with Chris as to the style of punishment. We do not need toxic players like that guy who razed Mane Tank in a wholesome healthy community that we have in FFXIV. Joking or not, he shouldn't treat others that way without first talking it over with the recipient first that way it can be like Leeroy Jenkins. Ya know XIV has been a great home for me and the Knights of Scion have been a great family. I am in Sargatanas and love it there… I main as a tank (paladin) and love when another tank takes aggro from me without using provoke. I wait for word on when to retake aggro and allow them their spot in the light, it's fun. Let Squareenix decide what to do. Take care guys and may you ever walk in the light of the crystal.

  2. Why do people hate being an off tank or at least the tank that doesn’t pull unless required lol
Imo it’s very stupid like you can easily avoid tank battles if you check if your co tank have tank stance on or not like it’s just a useless fight that wastes the party time lol

  3. The streamer crossed from "funny content" to being toxic when he name dropped, and put Mane in the spot light to mock him specifically. Regardless of if Mane thinks it was funny, it's unacceptable behavior from the streamer as part of the community.

  4. Why can't people just play what they wanna play? I'm not sure why this guy is going at someone for playing a Hrothgar and having a memey name. Like… what..? It's so easy to flip the argument around on him for playing a Viera? I don't get it :/

  5. Honestly I’d love to sit down and talk about the situation. After an 11 hour stream that day I had dealt with a lot of toxicity in my stream chat and in game chat not even directed at me most the time in-game just in general at random individuals in Delurum. My community and I over that day had talked about the toxicity and just rudeness presented multiple times throughout the stream and how the FFXIV community overall had degraded over the years . This segment was merely me being the troll clown that I always am basically acting like the clowns I had played with earlier in the day directing it at a player who was clearly not garbage. I inspected all tanks at the beginning of the raid it was me and 3 others. I knew Mane wasn’t garbage and was completely and utterly clowning on him.

The thing that sent me into a Twitter spill was the negativity, hostility, and rage that came into my stream and not only at me but my moderators and viewers from individuals on Twitter. I then in poor decision snapped back with the same level of hostility that they sent towards me and that’s the real crime here.

My Twitter behavior could’ve been 100% handled better. But here we are 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been part of this community for a long time and have brought countless people into the game. I’ve been streaming for 6 years and 4 years full time. If I was this psychotic streamer and out here just attacking people there would’ve guaranteed been clips and call-outs of my actions earlier in my streaming life span.

Honestly quite the shame that this is how a lot of people learn of my existence when I’ve been streaming for so many years.

    Appreciate you gentleman

  6. This is where we talk about the "causalist" if this was a elitist acting this way. They would get canceled on sight. Should be the same way for this guy. Toxic is toxic. Doesn't matter how good you are at the game.

  7. I still love this game, but unlike Wow it's not a 'community.' Most people in WoW, you join their guild, you get their Discord info, and now you have someone to talk to no matter when you log on and decide to say, mine for eight hours and you have someone to talk to. In FF14 MOST people live by their typing. It's not as fun; it's not as 'social.' Also, when this game first came out (after the fix), everyone seem to be cool and there to help. But those of us that have left and come back have seemed to run into a LOT of players that never left and are now 'Elitist Jerks.' Oh well, good luck finding a good FC everyone.

  8. I've mained tank since I started back up last November. I know how to pull, I know how to handle emnity, and I know how to run all the level 50-60 dungeons. Ended up in a Brayflox run with a Dragoon who was queued with the healer. I got turned around. Apparently, this was enough for the Lancer to decide to become the tank. When I politely asked to let me do the pulls, he started being toxic. The healer followed him and let myself and the DPS die. The Lancer made a comment about how he had to deal with asshole tanks before. His attitude was toxic and his response indicating that I was the problem in the situation because I'm an asshole tanks when all I did was politely ask to be allowed to play my role was so off-putting. Why don't people realize when they are the issue? He thinks all the tanks are the issue and that he's the solution. Unfortunately, it's not the first toxic Dragoon I've had to deal with as a tank. I always try to be polite and ask if they can stop pulling and usually they stop and play DPS, but this guy was unbelievable.

  9. lmaoo both of them are hilarious. i dont think the streamer is wrong either, i feel like he's just making jokes. sometimes in dungeons i enjoy a little witty banter, it makes the game more fun and long dungeons bearable.

  10. Love the difference in reaction Chris is finger wagging and pearl clutching while Brian is laughing his ass off. Chris attempts to dissect to sift out any perceived slight, real or imagined while Brian understands it's just competitive trash talk.

  11. All, I can say is don't have stance on if co-tank is having stance. As a tank main all I can say is try to make the game more enjoyable for DpS and Healers that way everyone has fun and it makes the game more enjoyable for everyone.
