Just a bit of info on "Nael van Darnus". The woman that is deafeated in Coils is in fact his sister, the real Nael had died years before 1.0 and ARR.
When he died his sister, Eula, took up his name and position to keep his legacy alive. This information comes from the Eorzea encyclopedia that was only released in Japan. Since the localization team did not know this, it was written that Nael's form is the result of old memories making the body. So the "Nael" that is fought in both 1.0 and Coils is Eula, not her dead brother.
