  5. i thought i was alone with this feeling. I too felt that the core base Reborn was still not very good. The sound direction (i don't have the right words for this, music is great), made the cut scene dialogs feels like beautiful rag dolls miming out the plot. I think the expansions got a lot better. But that first grind thru the original Reborn content was rough….

  6. I'll disagree on the story of ARR being bad – or that you're "the chosen one", for that matter. Yes, you do have the echo, but you're not alone in this. You're just an adventurer who is in the right place at the right time, for most of it. Delivery of the story beats is slow and rough, with too many fetch quests, but it's never been about being the Chosen One, it's about building up the world, politics, cast, world mechanics etc. It's only after the 2.0 story, that people realize that you're the real deal and have a more significant role to play yet. The stakes start very low, but grow as the character does.
    It's slow burn, but it all pays off eventually as story threads intertwine and old bits of storytelling suddenly become relevant to unfolding events.

  7. Your description of Black mage sounds more like red mage 😀 Black mage switches between fire and ice

    Also If you want an extra Main quest for free pick up Dark Knight in heavensward, its worth the trip

  8. hate to be the guy who corrects things, but to my knowledge crafted gear is only the best in slot for a period of time during the patch cycle, as time passes during an expansion more raid tiers are released and eventually the raid gear surpasses the crafted gear 😉
