  7. Stormblood's title theme track and the various renditions of it are some of my favorite, I love the hopeful and inspired feeling of rising together to face the enemy/threat.

  16. Oh so we're claiming expansions now ? Is that a thing ?
    I'm claiming Shadowbringers, then, don't even try me :<
    Go for Samurai then, the class is very nice and it should be incredible for the Stormblood main quest ! It's a very "solo" class though, it provides next to nothing to the team besides huge single-target damage. (But technically Black Mage is the same for groups of enemies so it wouldn't change much ahaha)
    Good point about the class, you start at level 50, if i'm not mistaken, so it should be quite fast to level back up to 60 and continue the MSQ from there !
    Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna watch Shadowbringers' intro cutscene 50 times in a row. Yes i'm telling you on purpose so you're hyped for the next expansion as well.

  18. Hyura. Hyura, please. Please watch the trailers on the official youtube channel. The audio levels in game are… sub-optimal. (Especially for the next two expansion trailers.) In game is neat and all because it shows you the login screen from each expansion, but please, you owe it to yourself to see the best versions available.

    Samurai is definitely fun, I'll give it that. Between samurai and monk, however, I'm more partial to monk. Best part, though, is that they both share gear! (Aside from weapons and job specific gear, of course.)

    Regardless, I can't wait to see you play through Stormblood and form your OWN opinions on it! o/

  19. That scene in the trailer is exactly how it feels to play samurai, especially in pvp. Samurai is the only melee class I have any interest in, though I'm not great at it by any means haha.

    Yeah. You're gonna love Yanxia.

    And Samurai is fun as hell and is the Black mage of Melee DPS.

    Just be warned, all the ability names are in Japanese, so it can take a little while to get used to the names. try and memorize the icons first, and practice on a target dummy till you get the hang of it. 🙂

    How2Play SAM:

    Much like Black Mage, things can get complex when you want to absolutely max out your DPS, but for simplicity's sake, you want to concentrate on earning each of the three "coins", called "Sen" that show up on your HUD by using specific abilities, and then spending them on either "Tenka Goken", a 300 Potency AOE, or "Midare Setsugekka", a 640 Potency AUTO CRIT.

    Single Target Rotation:

    1: Hakaze>Shifu>Kasha, This grants you a Weapon skill cooldown and recast reduction, so it's best to do this one first. this also grants you the Red Coin, "Ka".

    2: Hakaze>Jinpu>Gekko, This grants a Damage boost, and gives you the Blue coin, "Getsu".

    3: Hakaze>Yukikaze, This gives you the Green coin, "Setsu".

    4: MIDARE SETSUGEKKA! slices opponent in half

    AOE Rotation:
    Much simpler, since you only need to activate 2 coins.

    1: Fuko>Oka , AOE + Weaponskill cooldown/recast reduction

    2: Fuko>Mangestu AOE + Damage Buff

    3: TENKA GOKEN! slices EVERYONE in half
