  1. I've just cleared all of my trash out of my retainers and inventory and made about 2 million gil. I don't even remember what any of it was, so it was complete junk that's been sitting there for months. Having a really empty inventory is oddly satisfying.

  2. Additional tip: some gear that cannot be saved in your Armoire are actually saved in NPCs such as the Calamity Salvager. You can throw away your lvl 50, lvl 70, and lvl80 nondyeable relic gear, as well as gear you get from quests and achievements because you can buy them back usually for 1k gil or even free. Go to your nearest Calamity Salvager as well as the NPCs that gives off the relic gear for all expansions to see which ones you can throw away.

  3. Honestly, I've got 1 retainer half full of different game currencies and totems, but the rest is pretty much full to have quick access to the market board to see what's good to sell at the time. Saves an incredible amount of time.

  4. Great info that I will definitely keep in mind. I know I need to work a bit to clean out my inventories but im taking it one step at a time for now and I'm making the first step being getting all the jobs to cap and minimize my armory chest. Everything should fall into good place once that is finished off.

  5. got more of my relic weapons in my inventory ATM but my inventory is basically the same – Might attempt the crafting everything after completing endwalker MSQ but might not. Will likely transfer some of my excess stuff to my retainers. Nearly got all 4 of them up to level 80. lot of the beast tribe stuff is currently cluttering the second half of my inventory.

  6. every point here is correct,
but i'm crying bc i'm into housing and glam, two of my retainers are stuffed with farmable glam (which even unsync is luck based to get); mogstation items that can't be put into armory and idk if i should just throw them away? dye.. i have a lot of dye for convenience… housing item basics for walls, floors ceiling for whenever i want to refurbish the home.. at least the only crafting items i have are for pots, chicken, and coffee biscuits, always on hand for use during q times

  7. I need to do another inventory purge myself, lot of useless junk or old pieces of gear that I need to either sell to NPCs or turn in for company seals where applicable. I feel like I just did that a month ago yet it's already filled up again! Curse my IRL pack rat tendencies bleeding into the game.

  8. My problem is glam. I have so much cute shit that I want to wear but there’s not enough room. I’ve already used all 400 spaces in the glamour dresser and I’m not sure where to put all my stuff.

  9. On free trial inventory sorting: i threw everything under the lv30 gathering once i hit 50 in crafting because rarely there is a recipe gonna use them. And once i hit level 60 crafting i throw out every materials that isn’t from unspoiled or legendary nodes (because i dont like waiting). Master recipes at that level use materials that can be bought from shops in idyllshire

  10. I have 7 retainers all pretty much full 😭. I'm such a hoarder. Now I can't even be bothered selling them cause I have to go through so muuuuch shit. Although they are at least organised.

  11. Problem is that I'm nowhere near endgame and I want to play multiple jobs, so my inventory gets full of gear from many different levels and I can't remember what was important for which gear set so I don't sell it or get GC seals for them. If I sell that set for one class maybe I want to play it and then now I have to go buy or otherwise craft gear for that class. The market is too competitive for common items, people undercut by 50% or greater so your retainers sit with their inventories full because nothing is getting sold. Everything is easy when you are endgame, make a guide with a free trial character and show us how fast you make that 300K gil cap. I don't spend time on leves and other content because there are literally hundreds of MSQs I need to churn through to understand what is happening to catch up to the expansions. Who wants to level up crafting/gathering when you have in-game weeks worth of MSQs to churn through?

  12. I just hope not many Runescape players come over and play FF. I've played RS for a long time and FF for a few months, and I've already figured out good ways to make money.
Good thing is, money isn't a game changer here so just play at your own pace:)

  13. can't i just send you my info and you fix my …inventory, chocobo bag, 3 full retainers, 1 brand new retainer who's already a full page deep. that one time i started an alt character for storage space until i realized mail system sucks.. and while you're at it, my macros, class tabs, glamour, glamour plates, armory and dresser? but NOT my hotkeys. nobody should ever touch mine holy clutterbuttons 😨

  14. i weirdly made gil on alt just by selling leveling gear i got thru the msq and by the time i reached level cap i was able gear up two jobs with 510 gears with some change. Also when i was leveling monk 70-80 with yellow quest in shb area, a few of them gave out HQ gear that earn me a decent amount.

  15. Basically one of my 2 retainers is for crafting items I used often, that, if its something I can regain easily and sells for a decent price ill sell it. My other retainer is for my hoard of items that I know consistently sell for decent money. Once a week I go through and decide if those bat fang's and wings are really necessary. And decide what im going to sell for the coming week.

  16. Welp, 90% of the items that max out all 3 of my retainers are non-tradeable glamour pieces that don't fit in my 400/400 glamour dresser :') yeah I could just get rid of them and farm the content for when I need it, but after grinding Dusk Vigil 20+ times, running Arboretum 42 times and getting through Kugane Castle 35 times for a singular item, I'd rather keep the stuff when I get it.

  17. I don't know, I feel like selling all those small things and reactualising the orders adds up to A LOT of time that could be better spent.
Also, you only use half of your glam dresser??? I use around that amount (150-ish slots) for BRD clothing just to perform in venues ^^

  18. I'll respond to your rant with my own little counter rant

First of, thanks for pointing out that housing items are also removed from the crafting log, now I'll have to re-fill my inventory with junk to craft it all.
Second, big difference between a person who has played since X expansion, has done probably everything in the game there is VS someone who hardly played a year and is not just about to finish everything before another new expansion drops.
Third, you have a 3rd retainer. Now the question is why? If your inventory is so nice and clean why would I want to pay a MONTHLY FEE for a 3rd retainer to hold my stuff?

And no, I will hoard, you cannot stop me!
If I managed to juggle 3 free inventory spaces on FT I can juggle all my junk for "what ifs" and, emergencies that are not as big as potential bigger emergencies that will never happen.

  19. So I do have one question, since you've been mentioning crafting a lot, would you recommend getting all the crafters and level them all or focus on one then get the next and rinse and repeat

  20. When selling, just look at the selling price and make it a round number. That way you are on the average market price.

Also, I feel that works only NOW because Square Enix is doing away with gatherable HQ items.

While there is a lot of stuff I don't need anymore probably, I am too lazy to go out and farm stuff every time just to get a piece of craftable item done, and especially for every class that uses the same materials. Going out to get Alumen every 10 or so levels to make x leather from y skin/hide feels pointless time wasting to me.
