This is your retro FF Fan girl playing her first MMO in the world of Final Fantasy and loving it. I just got to Yshtola so I’m very excited for Friday FF14 night to learn about her time in the first.
Know I wanted to watch the trailer to avoid all surprises I will get in game. This is my preference when playing final fantasy 14. Being as blind as a bat as I can. See you next livestream!

this trailer is just so fucking hype, the changing class on the middle of a fight, the characters, everytime is so friking good, i love it
No one, and I mean no one noticed Zenos* looking away from you at 0:52. Such a subtle detail with such a heavy meaning.
I watched the trailer when it was first revealed back in the day after finishing Stormblood. It gave me awe, amusement, excitement and questions to the scenes happening, especially the Minfillia scene reveal which shocked and hyped everyone at FFXIV fanfest. The things happening in the trailer might be spoilery for some but without context it doesn’t make sense to most of us. It usually leads to speculation and theories back when it was first revealed.
So you never seen the previous opening themes for Heavensward or Stormblood?? 😲

the best trailer to the best story ever
My favorite "easter egg" of this trailer is how the WoL cycles through their jobs, in order of each job they canonically picked up. So if you go back and re-watch all the FFXIV trailers in order, that's the order of the jobs the WoL goes through here. Archer 1.0->Warrior ARR->Dragoon HW->Monk+Samurai SB before becoming Dark Knight for Shadowbringers. Was a nice nod to the past.
There is an art to good trailers, which can tease just enough bits out of context to get the hype and intrigue going without spoiling anything.
FF14 trailers nail it every time, it's incredible how good they are in context bridging one expansion to the next.
