It’s time to cover the FFXIV Shadowbringers trial series and then head into the 5.2 MSQ afterwards to wrap it up. As we inch closer to 5.3 I can’t help but feel a bit nervous of the impending doom that is to come…

Glad you enjoyed Gundam..I mean G-Warrior.
Gaius' moral character has never changed since his time in 2.0 to now during Werlyt. He's always said that it is the duty of the strong to lead the weak. He always says it during Praetorium. Back then, it's framed under the impression that he can't trust the weakness of Eorzeans to make responsible decisions to lead the world, so it's up him to bring the world under Garlemald's control, so that the Garlemald he believes in can lead them to a better tomorrow.
This is of course, a dictatorship.
But now after Werlyt, you see his creed being stated by his adoptive children. War creates victims and orphans. People believe Garleans to be cruel but Gaius has never been cruel on screen. He has always been the model soldier. So he unofficially adopts war orphans, and as his creed dictates, the strong must lead the weak. It's only after being used by the infinitely more cruel Ascians that he no longer follows Garlemald but he is still the soldier he's always been, he's just fighting a different war.
I fucking love this character.
Sorry Chad, but story and one's best effort aren't mutually exclusive. While I understand your sentiment, it would be better nuanced by the thought that one's MISTAKES are not serious at all, and there's no need to distress whether your or their misstep is stopping the group from progress. because normal content is designed to be 100% clear, you'd have to try to be so bad you drag down your entire group from clearing a piece of normal raid.
and settling into a good rotation, is imo the best way to relax. everything's consistent, so you just let muscle memory do the work. a bad rotation is wildly all over the place, I can't imagine how that "chaos" would be more comfortable to a gamer, but maybe there's some special snowflakes at home out there, in the ball park of narnia O.O
Also known as Big Fat Tacos So Sadge. Gosh that ending is a tearjerker.
And sorry for the timing of my superchar there. I couldn't help it hahahah
Such devastation to our feels was not his intention
This trial series made me cry so hard. Amazing story. Valens is such a messed up character. And Gaius is amazing. I love his character so much. And fun fact. Emerald and Ruby Weapon are FFVII superbosses. (Sapphire is CGI only and Diamond is a regular boss in FFVII) FFXIV side-content is top tier. Trials, alliance raids and raids. All are top tier stories! That's why I always urge people not to skip anything. Especially since it's all relevant to Endwalker.
Everytime I hear "And Love You Shall Find" I start to tear up and cry. Such a great song and amazing quest line.
