  1. Did you know? You cannot play the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, it does not include A Realm Reborn or the award-winning Heavensward expansion, there is no free trial up to level 60 with no restrictions on play time. You cannot sign in, ever. Eorzea is closed. Please go away.

  2. People have been debating and arguing for years, but if the “pool’s closed” situation is really something that only WoW has ever experienced before, then that means XIV has finally reached that same level of success. And seeing as WoW’s name is currently dirt, I think we can safely say that THIS is the moment where XIV has officially taken the title of undisputed MMO King.

  3. Thats me. My work schedule has put me square in the normie hours where when I get home the queue is at its peak, and then I go to bed around the time it starts to die down. And then I wake up and have to go to work during the open hours.

I just got up to the second dungeon and i've had the game since the early release

  4. As a Free Trial player, I had to create a new char on one of the Japanese servers in order to keep playing. I didn't go very far after I finished main plot of ARR, so the lost progress isn't that bad. I'm just glad to be playing the game rn and the servers have been pretty welcoming overrall

  5. I bought the complete edition last month when it was on sale fore 15 bucks. Probably the best decision i ever made. When I can actually get into the game it's so much fun it's unbelievable.

  6. Just an FYI for Pat Guild Wars 2 also had to stop digital sales during it's launch in 2012 due to overpopulation so to my knowledge this is at least the 3rd time an mmo has done this likely more

  7. as an outsider to FF14 i find the whole FF14 server issue relatively funny as i've got back into playing the original guild wars for the first time in almost 10-15 years a few months ago.

i'm up to the ascension run in the crystal desert and it's been really fun so far but i've been practically playing a singleplayer RPG since the only people who are still around are the holdouts who didn't make the jump to GW2.

  8. They're accidentally Cartmanlanding the game because its so popular. No shot there won't be people who see this news and think "Damn, how good is this game that they can't even fit new people in? I should try it when the gates open back up!"

  9. It's a growing pain, and from everything I've read and seen I think the Devs deserve major props for the state of the game. Final expansion was a perfect end to the story and I'm more interested now then ever to start as a newbie whenever they can get their hands on new servers. Said issue would've been worse if the game wasn't as good as it is.

  10. There is no Easter Bunny, there is no Tooth Fairy, there is no free trial for the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. Without an expanded free trial you cannot play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime.
