  1. The truth is they cant stop rmt, the only ones punished with this changes or players not Rmt.

Rmt is only real money trading as lomg as there is a place to type they cant stop it.

Punishing players selling virtual run for virtual currency isnt rmt

  2. I would be shocked if they didn't act on this pretty quickly. They seem to be aggressively targeting RMT leading up to EW, and I've seen more frequent Lodestone posts about "Actions Taken Against In-Game RMT…" as recently as this morning. It might be a little while before they have a concrete plan to tinker with the Fellowship Finder, but I imagine they will be scrubbing it often.

  3. There's a lot of comments saying "just ban all RMT advertisements anywhere". They already do, and always have. The problem is that these people don't SAY it's RMT. They just say they're offering clears and then link to a discord or external site. Even though we all know it's RMT, SE can't ban without proof, and investigating these external channels is difficult and time consuming. If you are now wondering why they added new rules and why those rules successfully got clear sales out of PF, it's not because the new rules say "no RMT in PF". The new rules say "no offering clears in PF PERIOD". Doesn't matter if you're doing it for dollars, gil, or for free. No advertising clear services. That lets them skip investigating and just ban these listings whether they are RMT or not (but we all know they are RMT).

The problem is that those new rules ONLY cover PF, not the Fellowship Finder. Now while SE does retain the right to ban you for basically whatever reason they want, they insist on sticking to the prohibited activities article when doing this stuff, so "fixing" this would require another amendment to said article to include Fellowship Finder, and maybe any other forms of in-game advertisement present or future.

  4. Just remind ppl all, XIV rarely remove a system out of the game once they added it in. There are specific reasons for it and it definitely not exist because no one care to use it or they’re too annoy about the existence of something.
