  1. And I am still one of the few that loved zenos xD he was actually my mirror since I really had no emotional attachment to the scions from the start. Plus for awhile it was nice having a simple villain that was just an asshole to be an asshole. Got tired of them making most bad guys relatable

  2. For Pandaemonium, did Elidibus detail how he intended to destroy it should the worst come to worst? I recall him mentioning it in 6.0.
Perhaps dumping it in the aetherial sea was their means of disposing of it. It would be a very human method of disposal, thinking about it.

I don't follow the argument that Warring Triad was done right. It's optional side content featuring 3 back-to-back trials. There's almost no exploration or elaboration (that I can recall) of those primals, beyond them being a failed trap. The focus of the warring triad was all on the empire dude, and the dude from the 13th.

The dungeon is Very easy, even with a Trust (which I regularly use as I'm all about low-stress gaming).
Whereas Trust in Amaurot, that mob-slam first boss is terrifying. It's the last dungeon I can do with Trust that I don't have the orchestra roll from, and I just don't want to XD
The reason they don't AoE (imo) is to dissuade players from multi-pack pulling. The Trust isn't designed to handle multi-packs. You "can" do it, but there's every chance the NPCs will die to AoE zones since they're only programmed to deal with one at a time.

  3. The story is insanely good for a x.2 patch. it feels like the usual x.4 or x.5. I feel the usual x.1 through x.3 are pretty tame in terms of story because you are still wrapping stuff up. I love the fast pace of it. Also the cutscenes and voice acting are really good, they just keep improving every single time. I played through it in pretty much one sitting because I was hooked, which never happened before in a x.1-3 patch because the pacing is usually way slower.

  4. The negativy that some of u have feel unreal and it seems that u may had irrealistic expectations. No offense, but it seems that some have way many nostalgia for IV that kinda blind the perspective of the patch story on itself. Are u going to tell me that the archfiends have a backstory and personality on the original game and also were compelling characters on FF4? No, they didnt, FFXIV's version was thousand times more better, they fleshed them out in such a really good day but at the end they are henchmen. What more were u guys expecting? Like, were the elemental primals compelling characters with interesting backstories, please. Is obvious that its Golbez the character the devs are saving all their "big cards", and I also think this is not going to be contained on the 6.x patches.
Btw, they did kinda put lore on Troia, it is an imrpoved version of the exploratory dunegon, and it wasnt 4 times, it was just 2. What was better? Going back to the Source, on a back and forth way, were we see the void only on cutscenes? Wouldnt have made any sence. That we got 2 scuffed zones, was really good and that we cannot go back, may have more meaning reason.
Also, sorry, but this is something I really dont like, how the "hate" for Zenos, shadowed the perspective of the character of Zero. She is not following a trend, she is unique and is not conected to Zenos on any whatsoever way. Really, I get that some dont like Zenos, fine, but that shouldnt be used as an excuse to shadow your view of Zero, seriously. Judge her as its own character

  5. To be fair, if they put the backstory of Scarmiglione and Barbariccia in the MSQ itself people would be complaining that it's dragging down the pace and to get on with it.

  6. My personal feeling about the trajectory and pace of the current story is that all of this absolutely is a lead up into 7.0, but it's been stretched out over several patches. I'm at work, so I can't spend time writing paragraphs about why here, but long story short (this is a piggy back off of Happy's theory): I think that Golbez is an Allagan general and this "big war" he's gear up for, is raising a voidsent army to unleash on Meracydia. Wouldn't it be interesting if Golbez's "shadow dragon" (Azdaja) showed up with Neurolinks around her neck?
