This is great! The only risky combination would be Water + Fire (with the knockback lock you really have to move fast to do it this way) I'd suggest making the mid-group use Surecast/Arm's Length (anti-knockback).
That group won't have it if he decides to use cape afterwards but it will be Thunder > Knockback > Poison (delayed) So rangeds can use the knockback to spread and melees can charge back to the boss and then spread.
