It's crazy how a single expansion made me go from having the dates of upcoming patches memorized to not having any excitement or anticipation.
5 demi1s for 1 demi2s is a joke. demi2s are not 5x more valuable, especially since you cant get the demi1 rewards any other way than farming the currency. 1 to 1 would have been fine, 1 to 2 would have been better. but 5 to 1 is stupid

The role quests were so bad I skipped the cutscenes once I found out what it was all about. I almost want you to react to them, assuming you approach them from a serious standpoint.

Okay… so doing the math, if I'm right, with no extra bonuses aside from your own first-timer clear:
Dais mount is 75, hairstyle is 49.
53 clears means 53 demi2 outright, +2 for your first clear is 55, and exchanging 100/5 demi1 makes +20 demi2 for 75, with 6 demi1 leftover.
Another 35 clears means +35 demi2, exchange the 70/5 demi1 for +14 demi2 makes for a total of 49 demi2, with 6 demi1 still leftover.
So, 88 clears for both demi2 rewards, assuming no bonuses, means that this exchange rate saves you… 34 extra clears.
…however, if you also wanted the shroud mount from the demi1, you'd be better off not even using the exchange, because it would leave you with only 6 demi1, and you'd need another 47 clears putting you at 135 clears total. If you don't exchange, you'd only need 75+49-2 = 122 clears for both the demi2 rewards and you'd get enough demi1 for the shroud mount at 50 clears. So… idk exchange at your own discretion?
I was always thinking why the raid plan for Chaotic had the German version of core-lateral in it. But that explains it a lot. Will be so confused going into Chaotic now.

The funny part about Core-lateral is that I actually kept doing it wrong in prog for a while because it took time to adjust to it being obviously named wrong. It's literally like if an attack said "This is a frontal cone" but then it fires to the side for no reason. Ridiculous that this wasn't a hotfix within a week.
When do u think savage will be unlocked?

that's just like how in the one dungeon with the kelpie boss that does hydro push and hydro pull, the names were reversed for the longest time and then months or years later it was corrected
Final role quest was surprisingly good. I wasn't huge on any of the individual ones, but it was a pretty good follow-up imo.

Conceptually, I think it's kinda funny that pvp actions that were just made slower are now being made faster. I haven't tried yet, but I'm guessing that means they're speeding up the animations?
I just realized I have at least one job of every role leveled. Since I barely play anymore I'm very proud of myself.

DT is the only expansion where I skipped story and have not done any role quests. I prob won't do anything if I'm not missing anything lmao. So basically, no new content….nice. Justifies my reason further for not renewing this month.

Yoshi P is too busy working on the mobile port and FF14 budget is being put into other things hence the slower patch cycle since co vid, it's really showing. new job quest… more mogstation trash. they had to pull the servers back down because for 3 hours the dungeon server was broke. quality testing and assurance, really gone out the window with DT.

When they said they were suspending auto demolition again because of the California wildfires, I used that $15 that was going to go to resubbing on a gacha skin. I don't know why but Dawntrail kinda soured my love of the game, and I don't know if that's indicative of the quality of the expac or if the endless whining of the community got to me. Probably both, but it could also be that I'm just burnt out. Either way I'm glad to see I'm missing out on nothing by not playing.
