  1. Something about the MSQ seemed kind of… off, this patch. The camera work was… noticeably less impressive than what we've seen recently. To put it very politely. Characters seemed to be lacking much liveliness. Y'shtola in particular seemed kind of dead behind the eyes. I don't really know how to describe it. The writing was pretty lacking in the usual nuance too. It really threw me back to ARR cutscenes.

I don't know if that's just a symptom of a new hand on the wheel of the story or if the team was too busy with 6.5 and 7.0 prep to do the usual polishing. Hopefully this was a one off.

  2. The reveal at the end was a surprise to me for sure

For several patches now, I’ve expected that Golbez had consumed the power of Zodiark before he even met Azdaja, and that that essence was impacting his thoughts. What I had not considered is that when Zodiark died, his shard on the Thirteenth would just… sit there. With nowhere to go. Until eventually it became a Voidsent itself. That’s… considerably scarier, I think. And it doesn’t require us to explain how any Voidsent could kill and devour a fragment of Zodiark that wasn’t trying to die the way Fandaniel was.

  3. I still think the funniest bit about the curry scene is that EVERYONE got dropped.
    Minus the Au'Ra.

Also the fight against Zeromus is gonna be interesting because everyone who has played FFIV knows the cloud form isn't even the worst he can be.
But I'm so god darn excited for the moment we square up against him, armed with a lot of light.

  4. 34:43 iirc, this is someone you can talk to during the quests leading up to getting the adamantite for the Ragnarok. When she starts dancing at you, the game says “maybe look for someone else to cheer up.”

  5. Interesting thing is when Zero get slap Memoria of real Golbez absorbed by Zeromus.

Next Expansion I want hype War thing like WoL will become Leader/Lord of Voidsent made War between Villian voidsent, become new Memoria Crystalize user. and Derplander become Reaper in 7.0 Trailer along with new group friends that tie to Void like Ukulele(LOL), Taynor, Cylva, Ryne, Gaia, Y'shtolla, Zero.

  6. If I remember the Lore Viera males live outside of the villages mostly solo … but they return home every few years to … ahm procreate … with him saying its a Homecoming … thats where my mind went …. and the viera Homeland is near Dalmasca … the jungles we found the Monastery from the Ivalice raid

Is Zero gonna meet the other 2 from the 13th? that would be interesting

  7. Something to consider, zeromus is definitely stronger than zodiark. While much deminished, ajdaya is still a dragon, who themselves are unsundered. At best we're facing something on par with our zodiark, at worst… It might be stronger than zodiark in his prime.

  8. 1:57:26 I feel like Zenos didn’t really trust us. I think the flashback to him was to sort of solidify Zero’s journey to understanding what a friend really is. She began wondering what he meant, and now kind of understands what that word should mean.

I think if anything, that moment has us feeling some sorrow that the man became what he was because he never could truly understand things like trust.

  9. 2:13:15 oh, neat attention to detail here.

If you have completed the story for the Dreaming Ways (the Loporrit tribe quests for Crafters), Livingway’s line here changes to:

“Even as we pursue new dreams for ourselves, aiding the people of Eitherys remains our greatest joy”

  10. Not gonna lie… When the enthusiasm to fix them faster.. When that come on? I DIED. The sound effects, the moment and the silence.. It's like you could hear them looking around for help and trying to pass it off wordlessly. It's too good.
