Time for the 6.4 Patch! I know I’m a day late but hey, life happens ya know? So! I’m very curious to see what we have to look forward to as I hope you all are as well! We certainly have some more FF4 references to look forward to, and it’ll be interesting to see how FFXIV makes those moments into something special as well.

"it's just going to make me kill them harder" lol. Only ten days left for theory crafting. I had been wondering if they where going to use the Cradle of Darkness again. Since it was such a big set piece that wasn't used all that much in EW.
One thing I've been wondering: In the void, all the aether seems to be concentrated inside the voidsent themselves. Instead of oceans and meadows and forests, they just have voidsent. But if that's most of all the aether there is in the void, and it all comes flooding into the source via invasion of voidsent, then wouldn't that cause a rejoining with 13th?
What im most excited about, is the fact that, unlike pretty much every other patch, this trial is not a mystery. Golbez is displayed front and center as the "focus" of this patch. Which makes me wonder. What's the trump card? What has yoshiP and everyone else over at Business Unit III cooked up to surprise us? If Golbez is not the ???, then what is? Could it be a last minute appearance of Zeromus in some way? Or something we haven't thought of?
MOUNT ROKKON… As a far eastern character I want to learn more of that area to better nail down my own rp story
Nope, blm dont like it to leave the leyline.^^
I think, it has probally to be cutted at some point. To make place for a other skill.
Removing it would maybe make us less immobile (more movement freedom). But, i would miss the circle (its buff could be given by a other way^^).
I won't be able to enjoy it,cus my big brother, cancelled my FF14 subscription!… sobs i wanted to see Themis/Elidibus again. cries
5:46 actually, I belive the timeline there may go
Summon
fought Zodiark
Sundering ends the battle
Sealing
Loperites
Remember Zodiark was sundered as well as the shards. Which means he would have had to be imprisoned in all 13 shards. So the moon has an obvious connection to the other shards.
If you make a drinking game for the amount of times Zero hat tips , would you get drunk?
Poor Vrtra going to be emotionally (and possibly mentally) destroyed by the end of all of this.
Did Hydaelyn have 100s of souls making her up? From the available story I thought it was her and her 12 followers? And yes totally, they are gone not even returning to the lifestream because it is such a power mismatch her against Zodiark otherwise.
Regarding the order of things a potential route I was considering:
1. Hydaelyn is formed from Venat and her 12 adherents
2. Hydaelyn goes off to fight Zodiark and in her power as manifestation of stasis and enervation (Light Aether) traps him in what will become the moon (hence the Ancient society did not have foreknowledge of her actions).
3. Hydaelyn sunders everything into 14 including the moon, which also sunders Zodiark into pieces.
4. Hydaelyn creates the Lopporitts and re-embodies The Twelve (+1) to put her eventual plan into motion
hey so one of the things that's bothered me for a while, related to the questions about the Sundering at about 5:30–6:00, is like
So the reflections are aetherically displaced but in the same physical location, which we know cuz they have the same night sky, right? Same galactic position.
So if someone on the First were to build a rocket and use it to fly off into space , logistical concerns aside could they then reach Ultima Thule? And if they flew back from Ultima Thule, what if anything would guarantee that they returned to the First and not the Source? Or, is the entire galaxy/universe actually Sundered, and while that didn't change much outside of Etherys would imply that there may well be no Ultima Thule for the rocket from the first to arrive at?
Weird metaphysical questions arise when you have both interdimensional and interstellar travel happening in the same fiction world, and I feel like a lot of them are just going to get glossed over when we're using the moon to bounce between realities.
@9:23 I've seen a lot of speculation that this is Azdaja transforming into the Shadow Dragon but I leaned more heavily on the idea that this is actually the first form of Zeromus (the incorporeal one). If they're going to continue leaning into the FF4 stuff, I reckon they'll have it that Zeromus leaves Golbez (since we don't have a Zemus expy here) and since it's incorporeal we can't fight it. This will set up Zeromus as the 6.5 trial, and we can only get the physical form of Zeromus that we can actually fight once Zero uses her memoriate powers on it (since it was a crystal that make Zeromus corporeal in FF4). I'm probably completely wrong but I also wouldn't be shocked in the slightest if this was the case either – since all of the Golbez fight stuff looks to be taking place on the Red Moon of the Thirteenth.
Actually the Black mage moved inside the safe zone, it probably got clipped but they moved, meanwhile the AST gave 0 fucks
During the pandemonium raid, you find out lahabrea split himself in two. We killed one half in heavensward. What happened to the second half. Something I noticed is that when you see lahabrea, he only shows half a mask, and the throne shows the other half at the end of the trailer.
The loporits were created AFTER the sundering because when she created them she already was Hydaelyn and she created them for the source ONLY
Where do we learn that all the souls that make up Hydaelyn are burned up?
Seeing how much you enjoyed this really made my morning lol.
I imagine the sundering, the battle with Zodiark, and his subsequent sealing in the moon are all events that occured in a very short span of time.
Think of how planetary devastation from Naruto creates mini planets.
If the moon was created, and not already there, I like to envision it was made in a dazzling display of power such as this with the sundering and sealing happening at the climax of their fight, and the creation of the Loporitts and Watcher happening shortly after.
At least, this is how I like to imagine events played out.
9:50 "the hero who shattered the wheel" anyone know what this could be referencing??*
