Final boss for the YoRha: Dark Apocalype set of raids. It’s a beauty. Unexpected but it’s a beauty.

Drakengard Ending (F)inal Fantasy.
I love these early runs that have one person marked like "I'VE DONE THIS ONCE AND I KNOW THE MECHANICS, FOLLOW ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE"
Maybe this is not the place to start a lore discussion about Nier and Drakengard, but I hope some enthusiasts who see this may give their thoughts – heavy Spoiler territory obviously:
So.. how do you think we arrived at this final boss? I want to ignore the topic of what exactly happened and how the 3 raids' setpieces came to be – more interested in the origins of the different forces at work here.
So we have our lovely N2, the "Red Girls". As far as I'm aware they were not magical/supernatural, right? The aliens that brought the machine lifeforms to earth were really just aliens, and any references to the Watcher-themed elements of Drakengard and Nier 1 snuck their way in because the machine network got their hands on the moon-server's data and started imitating it.
So… what confuses me now about the 2nd and 3rd raid of Dark Apocalypse is: How GENUINE do you those Seeds of Resurrection/Destruction are? What I mean is…
if we go only by what we saw in the quests leading up to the 3rd raid and now the 3rd raid itself, I'd probably say "Yeah okay N2 did a damn good job of recreating a Seed via technological means, but nothing more".
However… what's throwing me for a loop now is the last boss of the 2nd raid – that very imperfect imitation of the Seed, and Compound 2P being a rather poor man's version of the Queen Beast.
So I guess my question is: Why do you reckon we got such thematically similar last bosses in the 2nd and 3rd raid, but at such vastly different levels? If the very last one was what N2 was capable of all along, why was Compound 2P so badly put together? Limitations of the "regular" white-garbed android units, maybe?
Or do you think the Seed that Anogg came out of, as well as the one that N2 merged with, are actually not of the machine network's making? Was that what they were looking for when coming to the First, perhaps? Could it be that in the end we got a crossover with not only the Nier universe, but the Drakengard universe as well?
thank you for the non-spoilery thumbnail as usual… compared to that other guy
My god I heard the first melody before the lyrics and immediately thought "No…. no you sick fucks no…. you didn't." They did.
The only floor I enjoyed of the entire tier and it was the best mechanically. Huge love letter to drakengard. Not sure why they used 2B for the final model. Find it stupid
I called it! The third raid would 1000% be a Drakengard inspired boss, down to the music. The mixed in Final Fantasy theme is a really nice touch.
Not just Final Fantasy but Square Enix games always have beautiful music in Final Fantasy VI opera theme still stands up today and that was on the Super Nintendo
I think I'm perhaps crazy, but the Final Fantasy main theme remix on this song really triggers me a Xenogears feeling on it, I cant describe why, that's strange
Edit : Now I can point it out, it slighly reminds me "Emotion" of the Xenogears ost
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MELODY ! LOVE KAINE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BADLY
This truly was their final fantasy, huh? Well done. I wonder what his messages will tell us about this.
Can Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito just design everything ever from now on? (Edited because *I can spell I promise–*)
Yoshi P: So how do you want the last raid gameplay?
Yoko Taro: As trainwreck as it could.
Yoshi P: Figuratively or literally?
Yoko Taro: Yes
DRAKENGARD STAGE 13 X KAINE'S THEME?!
nerfed version. When the song dont kill you know its not the real thing.
The mechanics were crazy, the music was beautiful, and I still don't understand the story. So in a nutshell a real Yoko Taro experience. Easily my fav raid since the second coil. God, I miss Sophie's lore videos.
Kaine's theme mixed with the main theme of final fantasy? this one might actually beat out weight of the world/prelude for my favorite from this raid series
These boss mechanics are so fucking cool I love it.
This raid series didn't go out with just a bang, it went out with the somber chimes of mass human extinction.
Have a look at the office tower that shows up just before 6:33 – it's a Square Enix building!
what language is the song? I can't quite figure it out.
I wish I had ANY idea what was going on here. Is the final boss Kaine?
I've watched a lot of videos on Nier (Gestalt and Automata) lore to try to figure out what the heck's going on. But I had no idea who or what this was supposed to be other than Kaine's theme playing withh the FF theme. Which was beautiful, but I honestly have no clue what was going on story-wise, and how this resolves…..anything?
shrugReally hope this isn't the confirmed ending for Kaine, because that's extremely depressing even for Taro.
someone has the lyrics of this song ?
So uhh this language is it gibberish or a official one?
Lol dying how so many people dying by that rock fall🤣
I never imagine a song can give me tears (Kaine's Theme), joy (FF's Theme) and PTSD (Chapter 13) at the same time
can you get this track for the orchestrion?
This music for some reason calmed my mind to an astronomical degree to the point where I never got hit or panicked by mechanics on this boss since the first time I did it. What a masterpiece
shinjuku with dragon…oh damn
Now this is an avengers level threat
Okabe San why must you listen to Yoko san and Yoshi-P to make us cry
All those Drakengard references made me SO fucking happy. And Soken once again has outdone himself musically. This is so devastatingly sad and beautiful.
Not happy, why no victory theme, this is not a final boss there 🙁
I dont know what i was expecting in this fight, but it definitely was not Neon Genesis Evengelion with choo choo trains…
Hey Mekkah one of your Mobius FF Videos went down it was call Mobius FF (JP) Ex Warrior 3 Ryujin Battle Theme it was one of my favorites what happened?
Is this Irish? The phoenetics sound like something Gaelic, plus I aint ever play drakenguard so I couldn't say.
There is not a roll in game of this song? 🙁
Its a terrible day for rain inside my house…
I just really want to know…… what does Kaine have to do with the Drakengard "E" ending? This is her theme from Gestalt, right?
if i play nier: replicant will i understand more of the references in this raid/final boss?
Anyone know the name of the orchestration roll?

Just did this run last night, what an amazing raid and OST!
I feel a desperate need to run this again despite already getting all the loot I can for the week
Kainé's theme mixing with FF tunes… But Is this final boss….. Zero?? Because if it is, I'm gonna cry right now!
What da fok drakengard ending r
